I've been using RMX for over a year now and I must say its changed the way I make music. I use a BCR 2000 with a custom template that I'm constantly refining and I have now fully transitioned from the drum machine paradigm to the groove/mixing board paradigm. What I realize is Stylus RMX is like having Ableton Live within Ableton Live except with more concise control, flexibility, and greater fidelity. I have all the expansion packs and am digging deeper everyday into the sound design possibilities that the S.A.G.E. engine offers. As a consequence of owning RMX, my music sequencing has become much more organic, alive, and dynamic. It is now TRULY live, something I could never accomplish with Live's session view.

Me to, same combo, love it :-)

Just was hoping for "NEXT GEN" RMX interface...not exactly what hapened!

Imagine if you could have a reason style matrix in the fx rack, and it could run any parameter on the Stylus :P Instead im runing automation clips in live. Sort of works, but as I jump around from channel to channel its annoying to have to change the bus signal all the time. usually end up just record the tweeks straight to audio instead.

Do you ever run into the 128 limit for automation in Live+RMX? I thought RMX had like 30,000 automation possibilities? How did you get around that 128 limit?

No, because he, and I too, use midi control. Not vst automation.
How this work is seperate for almost each vst brand unfortunately.

being a huge fan of RMX as well, this feature of Omnisphere looks to be very, very cool
Among the many unique features this new multitimbral synth offers are its flexible arpeggiators with the innovative Groove Lock™ integration with Stylus RMX - allowing the arpeggiator’s pattern to instantly groove with the feel of the RMX drum loop

Jesus Christ you people were critical and overly pessimistic about this. What are your thoughts now?

I just watched these videos and I'm blown away:

It's an absolute must buy. A 40-50gb Rompler with a full synth built into it as well, and you can mix everything due to it all having two layers. Insane 8O

most people don't like romplers, just the word turns a lot of people off. 40-50 gigs to run a softsynth kinda sucks too. space is cheap of course but my powerbook only came with 90 gigs so this thing would eat half of that off the get go = lame.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

I'm using a laptop too. Will be getting an external drive for it.
