I had a hell of a time getting the MC Control to work with LIVE on Windows 7. I missed a crucial step and that was to change and add in the control panel the Eucon App to use LIVE with Mackie control. I have it working now and its pretty darn cool. The things that work are the solo/mute/ the motorized faders (best thing ever) stop/play/record/Scroll the touchscreen does work but you have to add your own key commands as well as the soft keys. I am definitely glad I have this and have it working as much as it does. Its pretty wicked, to have better or pre programmed softkeys as well as plugin control would be fantastic. I also got this working with Sony Vegas using Mackie control..

I have SSL Nucleus and mackie protocol definitly not working well

Well, as nicely as the Mackie implementation in Live allows it. They made some updates with Live 9.0.2. And as you noticed, its possible to write a custom implementation. Unfortunately those links don't work anymore.
But Ableton appears to be on it. Which improves support for all the consoles that communicate via Mackie Control.

I agree we definitely need support for eucon in ableton i just wish someone could do something about it to add support for it

this issue is pushing me to drop use of ableton all together. Cubase supports Eucon and seems to be the better choice at the moment, until ableton actually listens to the hundreds of people here asking for support.

I'm trying my hardest to justify sticking with Ableton for a lot of reasons. But this is a big motivator to switch to something else... Eucon support would make my life so much better
