CR78, I wasn't even thinking of set up on the computer.. are you having any trouble getting it to run?

(I think I'll NEVER manage any quoting on this forum, any tutorial ?

)
oh... I think I'll use my dusty rm1x also...
anyway, you brilliant lateral thinkers purely rock.
All this lateral stuff made me jump at a higher level using live, IAC driver, pK and farmpad...
WOW.
WOW x2

Active mode entered.
Hmm.. I'm seeing this from work also, for now you have to launch farmpad with the config file.
farmpad -c /path/to/FP_StepSeq.txt
Anybody sorted this out ?
Its stopping me from getting on with this cool setup

Hey Got it ! again...
Next i gotta figure out how to set the switches 1,2,10,11,19,18,17 to a group and have each switch a separate value of the same CC
i tried
group:10
switch:1,2,10,11,19,18,17
to test if i could get the group switching first then try and figure out how to get the CC values connected to each switch.
switch:1,2,10,11,19,18,17
group:10
pu the group command underneath the switches because it is the function applied to the selections (of switches)

hi !
you can make a desktop icon, on which you just have to click to launch the config file you want.
the way to do it is described in this forum, can't remember it for now but you can easily find it with a quick browsing of the "farmpad" topics,
and on korg forums as well.
it helps a lot, because you can make one different icon for each of your configs...
hope you'll find it
(I thik the dude is Doc Holiday...)
cheers

Hi,
I am on Mac OS X 10.5.6, with Live 7.14 and farmpad 1.3.1. I used to be able to use FarmPadSeq but now when I try to load the live file it ends in an endless loop. Any clue what's going on?

that sounds odd. i'm still on 7.12 and it still works for me on 10.5.6.
do you still have that version of live around to see if the set was damaged somehow or if it is an issue with the new version on live?
what exactly is looping oddly on you?

I have tried with older 7 versions and same problem. I get the rotating rainbow color cursor and then live gets stuck. I am not sure, just noticed that I do not see the 4 GB additional memory that was installed a year ago. I am not sure whether this was lost when the new mac OS X was installed. I did notice lack of performance in general when I installed the new mac OS X (all legal versions of live and OSX). I am lost on whats happening here. It is especially live which has terrible performance with the new OS, but i am not sure whats; causing this and whether its is a live issue, hardware or OS issue.

I think I might be too retarded for this.
I installed Farmpad and managed to get it to make the PK flash.
This confuzes me a bit

:
2.) Launch FarmPad:
farmpad -c /path/to/FP_StepSeq.txt
If you put this folder into your documents folder the path would be like this:
farmpad -c ~/Documents/FarmPadStepSeq/FP_StepSeq.txt
4.) You must have IAC enabled, see the midi prefs .jpg for details
Am I supposed to type something into terminal/farmpad when I get Farmpad on? I don't think I did my stuff right here.
Also, I dont have Farmpad as an Output option in Lives prefs.
By the way, if anyone has only recently aquired a PadKontrol for a mac running Leopard, you WILL need to install the driver.

you need to give farmpad the config file when you launch it, this is what the -c option does.
try this:
with the pK on and farmpad NOT loaded yet.
In the terminal type:
farmpad -c
add a space after -c
now drag and drop the config file into the terminal and hit return.
next time you open the terminal to launch farmpad use the up arrow at the command prompt and you will find your command again.
let me know how this works for you.

I'm way too stupid for this. The terminal thing seemed to work. The PK was controlling clips then but I didn't get feedback to the PK, and Farmpad still wasnt an option in prefs. Go on without me! Save yourself!

you need to turn on the IAC bus also.
