i'll have to look tonight...im not entirely sure what you are talking about though lol
i had a thought watching the Henke lecture vid...do you think Max would help solve the feedback problem? As far as I can see Ableton is sending different cc data than it receives so perhaps it can be managed in Max? I tried the demo but I don't know where to start with it.
Might email ableton about it actually. Have you tried the patch with any other programs? Would be interesting to see if it does the same in other programs or if its ableton specific.

Problem is that i do not own any other DAW.Meef Chaloin wrote:i'll have to look tonight...im not entirely sure what you are talking about though lol

Facts :
BCF2000 MC-C Emulation works fine with Live set as Mackie Control (but they switched off value display, while LCD feedback works)
BCF2000 in BC mode, programmed to send the same controls as a real Mackie works fine except for LCD feedback on rotary controls, if you press the flip button the sliders sync instantly.
It might be that I use Rel-3 mode. I tried with Absolute like it should be but this makes things crazy.
I think that Faders (because they are motorized) send a 'tell me which value you have' to Live and Live answers, while knobs do not.
I guess the trick might be moving the knob mode to absolute and then try to identify the correct sequence that 'asks' the value in the DAW.
BTW I will send you a new preset with edit button available so you can tweak it w/o using the BCEDIT software.

Yes. If you read through the post I have posted an exact explanation of what knob does what. You can achieve what you ask by selecting encoder group 2 (upper right)stax67 wrote:will any of these patches allow me to use my bcf2000 like a fader fox, so that i can use knobs to scroll between tracks and scenes and play the selected clip without touching the mouse or keyboard?
P.S i am using OS X, do the patches work (and how simple is it to do)?
Cheers!
the right most knob selects a scene and fires it and the knob on its left fires the clip pointed by the selected track and the scene.

I just figured this out.dys4ik wrote:I'm going to sneak in a related question here.
Does anyone know how to control the MASTER fader with the mackie emu mode?
I was playing around with the channel controls to see if I could get my second bcf set up to control 9-16 by default, and as an experiment set the first two faders from channels 1 and 2 to 9 and 10.
9 controls the master fader, 10 doesn't do anything.
Good to know, thank you!dys4ik wrote:I just figured this out.dys4ik wrote:I'm going to sneak in a related question here.

I'm just overwhelmed at all the weird stuff I'm running into here.
When playing around I noticed that after doing a bank switch in mackie control mode it sends a b2 note on/note off event, but the faders themselves seem to send the same data.
I'm guessing these b2 (and b flat 2) events are telling the daw itself to change which tracks the bcf is controlling?
(I'm guessing that because after switching on one controller, the other one was also controlling the new set of tracks)
So my question is, does mackie control only do 8 tracks at a time? I can't set up two presets so one bcf always handles 1-8 and the other 9-16?
(I can fake it out if I set it up so it thinks there are two mackie controls, but I'm trying to set up all three controllers as one big mixing board)

not sure if i understand you right but you only need one preset and it can control all tracks you have. You bank up and then faders 1-8 become 9-17 etcdys4ik wrote:I

Hi I have a question..
I've just got a BCF, just his week and as of yet haven't had any time to set it up in MCU mode. I know that I need LC View to have visual feedback. Now I'm also considering a deal on a BCR, that I'm wanting to map out to my plug-ins/racks etc.
How would this effect LC View? And would it be possible and worthwhile running the BCR in MCU as well?
Basically what would be the best way to utilize the BCF & BCR together..?
Thanks..

Yeah, but I have two bcf units.Meef Chaloin wrote:not sure if i understand you right but you only need one preset and it can control all tracks you have. You bank up and then faders 1-8 become 9-17 etcdys4ik wrote:I

I can't say for I own only BCF2000. But as my programming experience with BCF2000 suggest, I've left out many useful Mackie capabilities to avoid cumbersome control so given the amount of knobs the unit (BCR) has I would say that by coupling two of them in mackie mode (I mean a factory preset not the firmware MC emulation) you can really achieve a lot. Alternatively, you could use the BCF2K to be a mackie and BCR2000 to map whatever thing you like. I think for the price they are unbeatable. I only I had some more space...heavensdaw wrote:Hi I have a question..
