The above could easily be ported to the Monome. I thought thats what the Monome basic did? Personally, I have no need for something like the monodeck clip grid, for one, most of my sets dont really have any empty slots. And two, If I learned anything from the Monome, its that its not just about firing clips, its about getting inside of clips. Thats what Im working on...
ok, mike, But I`m on to have the possibility of use monome as matrix to launch clips. I have buyed one 40h on the first "print" and it`s amazing.

If the matrix could be mixed with livestep, for exemple, it could be a interisting tool to have. Sequencing on various levels.

think in it like this

bbbbbbbt
bbbbbbbb
sssssssss
ccccccccc
ccccccccc
ccccccccc
ccccccccc

b= bank
t=toggle livestepXclipmatrix
s=stop button
c=clip launch

Hi nobby, yeah the max patch posted here by mdk, yes it work under LEO 10.5.1

But it don`t communicate with the monome yet.

The livesteo also works fine.

the api midi demo i built (live <-> max/msp) is available here :

http://www.assembla.com/spaces/files/cD ... xOabIlDkbG

demo 6 being the most recent. installation instructions are here :

http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/live- ... _Midi_Demo

i dont know anything about the monome so someone else will have to cover that part.

feel free to join the google group so we can gather our knowledge and discussions in one place.

http://groups.google.com/group/liveapi/

I generally only announce new stuff on the group, which may or may not interest you :)

new demo coming soon..

i'm getting somewhat confused about the different download spots for LiveApi.
maybe someone should correct me here.

the one that mdk posted in this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/liveapi

i can only find a download link to a mac osx version.

but then there is also the original liveapi page @ http://code.google.com/p/liveapi

which has only the PC version on it.
so i'm confused. does the liveapi page mdk started have a windows version on it, or is the one on the original google code page the only available windows version to download?

are there any features that either versions have over each other?

what is your problem?

LiveAPI works fine at H@me!

no no. i'm not having problems.
i don't even use the LiveAPI myself yet but i'm very interested in it, and want to make something with it for my live performances.

what i'm confused about is, whats the differences between the downloadable files from the two different liveapi sites?

you could check the repositories hosted here, as written in the link you quoted on google groups.
all the sources, the new codes are there!

But I'm making a documentation very easy for all newbies.
I'll post it on my website asap.

feel free to ask me more
I'm waiting for a PCB to build my bonome RGB monome clone EXACTLY to use it with LiveAPI, in order to control clips matrix.
and I just received the original monome 64 too.

we are all nOOb!
:)

so, assembla is a coder/developer host platform.
to get the last sources/codes/everything you need, you have to use SVN or CVS system (included in eclipse development framework)

btw, you'll have ALL the infos VERY soon on my website: http://www.julienbayle.net/diy/LiveInterface/

I'll post on google code host and assembla to inform interested people.

all the best,

thanks julien.

well i tried downloading the svn link with an svn client like it said on the assembla page but then when it started to download, it started asking for a username and password to download.

sigh, all i want is latest API for windows :P
maybe it's just not meant to be for LiveAPI and me ;)

sigh.

let me check that, i want the svn to support anonymous read-only checkouts.

the other option is to get the last midi demo :

http://www.assembla.com/spaces/live-api/documents

which is demo 6
