doc - jealous of those days gone by, I knew guys that did that, lived the life, got the job, the lift pass, the 4 foot bong and pow pow for breakfast every day. great guys to board with, they know ALL the kickers. every winter when the new Warren Miller comes out I look at my gear and think, damn that's a winter's worth of rent in Summit County. what resort did you whore at?

alyeska resort in alaska, sitting on the chugach range. when the resort was crusty it was about a 20 minute drive to the back country!

back to back to back 1,000 inch winters happen at that resort. serious pow!

I cannot think of a more perfect day:
Wake up at 8, head up to Aly.
Ride all fucking day, 25 degrees, sunny up top, lots of nice fresh snow from the night before.
A quick trip to the Sitz for beer and a burger for lunch, or loading up on soup at the bake shop.
Another 4 hours of riding until it gets dark.
Either swing over to the Musky for a pepper steak, or check a show at the Sitz again, stay up all night drinking.

*sigh*

Fuck, and the NYE parties... Ride and drink all day on the lifts, then trudge around the roads in your boots crashing parties.
Oh to be 21 again!

except for little less partying but my lilbro is soon old enough. Also might be taking on with a few mates later this year to austria @ the alps. I might be heading towards asia or south america in the summer though.
And a week at ibiza with a friend

time is relative to age

the younger you are the slower time goes because you don't know any different

as you live longer time goes by faster because you're all to aware of how fast time really goes

depending on where you are on the age scale you should live accordingly

enjoy your youth as if it'll never end and as you get older take advantage of the fact there's no better time than now

actually I see it as a bit simpler - if you are 6 years old then 1 year is a sixth of your whole life - but if you're 31 then it's a 31st of your life - so it feels much less significant

That's more or less what I was trying to say

I was just trying to sound a little more 'Confucius' than I really am 8O

Wow dude! That was very deep and very well said. Confuscious is kicking the ground right now.

And I completely agree with that statement. When I was a little kid, time really did feel like an eternity (and I wasn't even anxious to grow up either). But when you're young everything seems so trivial.

I'm in my early 20s right now but time seems to be slipping and just going so fast its ridiculous. There are more worries about the present and the future.

I knew there was something up with this forum, alot of the posters here seem extremely intelligent, well-spoken, and mature. I think its awesome! And I really admire all the older/wiser folk who are doing their thing.

I kinda think at any age you feel the same way: "I wish I started earlier" or "I should have started earlier."

I guess I realize now that its pointless to think about what you should have done in the past. We should all focus on what we're going to do in the future.
