1959 Fender Musicmaster (The one pictured is not mine. Mine has natural ash body, i.e. no paint. Bought it at "We Buy Guitars" on West 48th St in Manhattan in 1980)

My son plays the Musicmaster, March 2005

Ableton Live Suite
Electrix Repeater

A laptop: its totally changed what I'm able to do. There's no way I would be playing in fields or jamming with friends if I was still working on a desktop. Live is pretty amazing- but I was creating a rubbish ersatz live via environment features on logic 5.5.
Korg MS2000r: they get a lot of flak- but they are great for performing- possible to get right inside a sound using the pots.

Has to be Ableton Live Suite the most productive piece o gear EVER!

Also have to say my Macbook Pro.. Freedom and power.

Bargins.... Novation X Station 61, new from a store in Barcelona.. they were having a sale, I got it half price! Pair of Adam 7's bought from Turnkey (remember them?) as returns, paid 600 euros.. They rock!

Yeah, the Adam A7's...picked up a pair for $883. from Musician's Friend a few months back. One of their "Instant Rebate" promotions.

Just bought a dbx 1066 compressor/limiter/gate unit - B stock - from American Musical Supply (affiliated with zZsounds) for $299.97 - which is $100 off the usual retail selling price. They still have two other B stock units in inventory:

Check the column on the right-hand side of the page to see the B-stock listing. (I get no commission for this!!)

Korg MS 2000R.

I've been using it for 8 years. I've used it more as an efx processor than a synth. I keep discoverinig new things on it. Looking back, I wish I would have gotten the keyboard and not the rack.

Also my Mac Pro and Live.

ARP Odyssey MK I: friend's dad threw it out with the trash and it sat outside overnight. still has water spots from being rained on and something is weird with the ADSR. spent a few bucks to get it to stay powered up but yo, holy shit.

Ableton Live. But that is not gear.
With gear, that is a tough one. I have some great stuff. I'll leave out instruments and stick with gear.
If I had to pick one, I'd go with Crane Song HEDD 192.
Other great gear--preamps (Pacifica and Great River).
Compressor--a pair of Crane Song Trakkers.
What has made my life better and easier? The Presonus Central Station and Novation Remote 25 SL.
