I got it done in my early 20's. Neither me or my wife wanted kids. I just don't buy the story that it'll change your life for the better.
Everything I've seen bears that out (talking to friends and family who are parents, and watching my own parents' reaction after finally dumping us all out of the house).

what's really fucked up is when people wait until they're 40+ to have kids, great life that kid's gonna have. much higher rate of birth defects and when he graduates high school kids will ask him why his grandparents drive him around. parents don't have the same energy to be good parents either. talk about selfish.
