End of Watch was excellent, although I didn’t understand the inclusion of the final scene. It was a flashback that really didn’t serve a purpose. It was like they just closed it with a random outtake.

Great movie. Didn't expect anything, got far more than from most.

Yeah, I usually don’t like cop movies but decided to give this one a chance without really knowing anything about it. I like the way it kept my attention without really giving you any clue where it was all heading, at least for the first half.

I really, seriously, enjoy seeing cops get butchered as much as the next guy. But that flick made me ill after an hour. I had to end of watching it [LAUGHTER, APPLAUSE, AUTOGRAPHS]

Searching for Sugar Man, slow at first but epic ending. SPOILER ALERT: Imagine if you released a couple albums that never went anywhere so you just kind of gave up on it only to find out decades later that you are HUGE in another country and didn't have the slightest clue about it.

The big mystery they didn’t really explain in the movie is how he didn’t get more, or close to any, exposure in the US, although the label guy seemed a little douchy and standoffish about it. To me he kind of sounds like a blending of Bob Dylan and Neil Diamond and hard to believe the music is 40 years old. It seems like it would do quite well back then and still stands up today.

got a cheap Apple TV a few weeks ago so been caning a netflix trial account. mostly shitty films, but
watched Headhunters last night, a thriller whodunnit chase movie with bleakly hilarious bits.
very slick, totally enjoyable. was in tears of lol at the tractor bit. amazing scenes ...
also finally got round to watching Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, doing the vengeance trilogy in reverse. wicked film.
is Thirst any good?

I’m convinced that once a movie reaches an average rating of more than 2 and ½ stars it automatically gets removed from Netlfix streaming.

Hey im looking for a movie, its made in Argentina, I guess early 80's. I also think it is in black and white, but i am not sure, cause we had b&w television at the time.
The movie is about a man, that goes out for a walk, and then he steps in a dogshit. Now there is local superstition that tells that stepping in dogshit will bring you good luck. So the man decides to buy a ticket in the loterie, and then he wins a weekend he can spend together with a pornstar.
Its a tragy komedie.
10 years ago I had a collegue that also knew about this movie, but forgot the title.
Does anybody know this movie?
Would like to review it.
I did google "argentina + movie + man + dogshit + pornstar" but got weird results.
This is no joke, this movie exists.

I've really enjoyed some "bad" (low aggregate score) movies recently :
Next (2007)- staring Nicolas Cage as a man who can see the future. Oddly enjoyable and with a plot point that really caught me and the GF out. Surely proof that I caught an IQ wasting disease from that bed in the rub and tug joint. I was surprised to un-ironically enjoy a Nic Cage film with a rotten tomatoes score of 28%. Critics hated this, but I thought it was great fun. Better than Iron Man 3
Surrogates (2009) - starring Bruce Willis in some flip flam about a wold where everybody lives their lives through robotic avatars. He's a cop. Blah blah blah, explosions. We all learn something, etc. Rotten tomatoes says 39%. I say : Enjoyably low thinky requirements for this low budget sci fi silliness with gaping plot holes which is better than Star Trek 2

I think next is based on a Philip K. Dick story isn't it? Glad to hear, I skipped it based on that rotten tomatoes score
I liked surrogates too actually
Actually I think Rotten tomatoes shouldn't be relied on - I set it once to show all the highest scores to get a few suggestions and got a hold of a movie from the late 80s/early 90s about the after life with meryl streep in it that got a really high score and it was one of the worst films I've ever seen, I had to turn it off after about 20 mins
it was something like "defending your life"
