So has anyone got anyway to emulate the APC gird stuff? I've mapped the same messages to my microKontrol pads and then selected it as an APC40 control surface but it doesn't seem to do anything?

It's been stated over and over the APC and Live use a special handshake that cannot be emulated by other gear. Therefore, you cannot emulate the grid matrix with a pad control or monome.

Yeah, I've just failed to get my nano/padKontrol combo to do a APC emulation thing.

With bcr-2000/mackie trick there is already a 99% apc emulation EXCEPT the clip fire thing!!!

Are APC40 buttons plastic or rubber?

you're just going about it the wrong way, monomes and padkontrols are very easy to do the same thing as the apc40 you just aren't gonna achieve it by using the apc40 control service in preferences.

I've seen in the above vid on vimeo that the stop buttons light up. I can't get mine to light up.

the guy had a follow action that was set to stop and when he triggered that clip the stop button was flashing. I tried that and other things but couldn't get my stop buttons to light-up. check out the above vid @ about 6:54 & 14:09. any guesses why my stop buttons don't light up?

The lights don't show the group track clips of my live set? So when i have a group track, with different tracks in it... i can see a striped clip on my screen of the computer. I use this a lot... unfortunately i don't see it on my apc. Is there a way to show these?

I haven't read the whole thread, but I'm using a nanoKontrol with NanoLive as a control surface, and a nanoKey to fire clips (have to use a different grid, of course...)

Dunno if this helps; I also have a nanoPad that I use with Battery 3 to trigger waveforms.....

doesn't help, WE use the APC!!
