The point, again, was that the basic attitude of people from desk jobs that I see most of the time is that decorum is half the battle. Construction workers are much more base. Case in point, I moved to Portland for a while, and in that year more than four times I was asked if I wanted to step outside and go toe to toe. Granted in one case I deserved it, but the rest were angry pissed off rednecks probably strung out on something (meth).
Another prime example of the ultimate Narcissistic ridiculous attitude on this forum.
Crazy Islamofacists? No such thing. Its not real.
Stereotyping Rednecks strung out on (METH) though, everywhere! Thats OK! ! !
lol
Your a joke.
Anyone with an IQ over 70 would see this.

Right, I never said all rednecks, or called all construction workers meth head rednecks, but mbreqs made more than one argument on these forums that all islam is tainted by islamofascist thinking, that it needs a reform etc. So basically your dreamy conservative gun freak calls all muslims potential terrorists, and paints their religion as being the cause of the conflicts with the west, and you're fine with that, but if I, A FUCKING CONSTRUCTION WORKER! say that construction workers are rough, and make some REAL LIFE examples. You try to paint me out to be your little liberal whipping boy?
BTW, notice not one of my comments about construction workers mentions politics, or any of your bullshit black and white garbage, read the fucking thread before posting and maybe you'll make a point. You sound like you don't have a clue when you jump in and try to paint a 'liberal' swatch on a conversation that had NOTHING to do with the politics at hand, but was about the CONVERSATIONAL STYLE of the people involved.
To your misplaced bile though. Islamofascist is a buzz word, like liberal, or redneck, (of the three though, redneck should not be a 'bad' thing), it kills a conversation. Fundamentalists etc. was a MUCH better term for freaks like Bin Ladin, as it covers the real territory, and doesn't add any obvious bias. I fail to see how Bin ladin and co. are different that home grown fundamentalist psychos like Timothy McVeigh, David Corrish, or the recent kid raping/marrying Mormon camp fiasco. It's all fundamentalist psychosis IMO.
Islamofascist, feminazi, liberal, fascist republican, christian whack jobs, etc. etc. are NOT terms used by critical thinkers IMO.

Whilst the term "islamofascist" is quite obviously only suited for shouting matches or headlines in less than impressive publications, the term "fundamentalism" is meaningless when applied to muslims: Ervand Abrahamian describes why in the first chapter of his excellent book Khomeinism -

OK you're fucking retarded. What else can I say? I said the idiots that were wanting to fight on the job were mostly strung out. If you had any clue about the Northwest, and the drugs here, you wouldn't be making stupid accusations.
I spent half my childhood on a farm you moron! My moms best friend played country music with a band literally called Golden Pins and Silver Needles.
My fucking eyeglasses are made by John Deer. You have no clue at all about NW culture, and what goes on here, but you ASSUME that I'm "blasting rednecks"....
BTW my last boss in Portland, big scary redneck, no doubt. His response to Afghanistan when we went in? "Same crap we pull anyplace we want something from, make them into the enemy, and just take what we want." Stick that up your little stereotyping ass and try to "spin" it.

I can agree to a degree, but I think it's like rednecks calling themselves cowboys, there really aren't very many real cowboys, and the culture of the cowboy was more akin to a drifter than a farm hand, but the core of the style is what they're after.
Basically all religious types who decide that their religious text is far and above the word of god, and this includes generally a belief in the superiority of said religions political homeland, if said government is founded on 'principals' that loosely correspond to the base religion... but then most extremist religious beliefs start off in opposition, and small.
At some point the term fundamentalist has become an adjective not a noun. I think that's where people are getting hung up.

how do you guys have the energy to keep this going. war sucks, war for money by largely uneducated racist fascist democracy-flag-waving hypocritical assholes suck worse. that statement is a generalization of the military not specific people in the military. I have ex-close friends and family that are in the military and I hear the same conscience-saving bullshit justification of murder and thievery every holiday. To look at this war with out the previous 100 or so years of history definitely works for the pro-war "pro-america" drivel but does not work for me. The us Government (as have been mentioned before) have been working hard at keeping this ME destabilized for a long time. A lot of people who determined if we went to war benefited greatly from it. see "IRAQ for sale" for specific names and committees its mind boggling that this isn't illegal but then again they are the ones making the laws. we went to war for money period.
I understand that a lot of military people joined to help humanity. I believe that they are helping people and groups there and in that microcosm they are respectable but to deny the overall implications and reasons of/for this war is ludicrous.
