TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD

Selecting "Touchable Script 1" in the control surface area of the MIDI Sync menu of Live causes some sluggish behaviour whilst using the GUI of certain plugins in Live

Can anything be done about that?

Why would you need to select the TouchableScript1 during a performance? Usually it should only lag for a short time once you start the script - and every time you launch ableton from this time on. Also it will cause some sluggish behavior once you connect an iPad to the set. This is due to the limited performance of the iPads WiFi connection which just cant keep up during a complete update of the set. Once it's connected you should not have any trouble with sluggish behavior at all

btw, you can use kapture with clips instead of the kapture app (each clip can launch a capture of the whole liveset, and launch each of them from touchAble grid. Works with/and kapture app, kapture maxforlive.

puzzled, dont think i quite understood.
i have kapture app and think the above sounds interesting having it working with touch-able

Kapture manual:

3.3.4 Trigger Track
Kapture Pad has a special function whereby clips in a track named ‘Kapture Pad’ will recall a Global Snapshot. For example, if you create a MIDI track called ‘Kapture Pad’ and in it you have a clip named ‘New Snapshot 1’ then launching that clip will recalr that Global Snapshot. This can be very useful when you start a new song in your Live set. Another use could be using many clips with follow actions to change Global Snapshot rapidly on the beat.

I'm having a bit of an issue with the 'snap' function.
Sometimes when I enable the snap function, touchAble just crashes.

I've noticed some bugs (sometimes crash) with snap mode as well, we are going to fix that, but more report we have the easiest it will be .
As touchAble has been a very stable App till now, we really want to maintain this level of stability

If i dont have that selected then Touchable doesnt connect

The workaround seems to be to unselect the TouchableScript1 when im not using the ipad

I experience the same problem as superistic. When touchable is enabled in midi section, controlling plugins in live with a mouse introduce a delay whenever I choose new parameter to control. This is really annoying.

Hi,

I am using Live 8.2.2 on newest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.4 I guess, I don't if this is the latest I will check when I get home)

Basically this looks like this.
1. I open some plugin e.g. Alchemy or Volcano2
2. I want to tweak some knob it will react with about 1 second delay until it starts to move. If I want to tweak this parameter once again, it will work without a delay, assuming that I didn't move other parameter in between.
3. Now if I try to modify other param the same delay occurs.

This appears when Touchable Script is enabled in midi section. I tried to disable my other surfaces while touchable is enabled to check if others cause problem but it looks like that this only occurs with touchable enabled.

We can't reproduce this laggish behavior yet unfortunately.
