TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD

Hi,

I am using Live 8.2.2 on newest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.4 I guess, I don't if this is the latest I will check when I get home)

Basically this looks like this.
1. I open some plugin e.g. Alchemy or Volcano2
2. I want to tweak some knob it will react with about 1 second delay until it starts to move. If I want to tweak this parameter once again, it will work without a delay, assuming that I didn't move other parameter in between.
3. Now if I try to modify other param the same delay occurs.

This appears when Touchable Script is enabled in midi section. I tried to disable my other surfaces while touchable is enabled to check if others cause problem but it looks like that this only occurs with touchable enabled.

Exact same problem as this, definitely a conflict with Alchemy in some way...
Im on Live 8.2.2 - Windows 7 64 bit SP1

I have problems, that might belong to the same bug : after switching presets of a vst instrument ( reaktor ), sometimes the live gui freezes .

Only a relaunch of live cures the problem then .

Grouping the device in a rack solves the problem too, but thats not the way i want to use it .

We are working on the VST problem at the moment. A fix should be included in the coming update scheduled for early August.

Known Issues
We have found an issue that causes Live to freeze when sending MIDI out, either to external hardware or internally via the IAC bus.

We are currently working on a solution for this problem, which we will release in a bugfix update as soon as possible. Until this update is available, we do not recommend updating to Lion.

touchAble suffers from this as well. So please do not upgrade to Lion yet if you are reliant on using Ableton & touchAble.

I wish they made the resolution bigger; maybe double it (that being optional, of course, not a mandatory view).
I'm working with a 120-track live set and that'd be real handy.

We're working on it Fanu - it's probably not going to be in the coming update though.

For Lion Users: Deactivate touchAble Clock Sync and you are good for now. However: XY Pad Automation will not work as usual.

touchAble and Lion:

For all you early adopters out there:
Ableton Live isn't 100% compatible with Lion yet!
To use touchAble with Live on a Lion-Mac, please disable Multiprocessor support in Live's preferences, CPU-tab.
You then can use touchAble and Live without problems on your Lion-Mac.

It probably has to do with your wifi radio. Are you using an ad hoc connection? Can you tell us more about your setup?

I am running an adhoc wireless connection using connectify as per instructions on TouchAble site with a TP-Link 150 Mbps Wireless N Adapter.

Everything was working fine, but now this distortion/breakdown issue with audio.

Griid & KapturePad are working fine with same wifi adhoc connection. Just touchAble is screwed.

Why don't you try using a pure Win 7 ad hoc sans connectify as described here:

After trying a few different things to try and find the cause of issue, I found that by launching Live first, then launching touchable server 2nd, I can stop this issue from occurring.

I always have started the touchable server 1st before I start Live and have never had an issue before now. ??

Hi! This looks like a very handy app to use with my iPad and Ableton Live. Just one quick (and rather newbie/dumb?) question: Will I be able to play and record MIDI from my Nord Electro keyboard connected with my computer through an Edirol UM-1EX interface at the same time as using TouchAble? I.e. can I start a recording of a MIDI track in Ableton with TouchAble and then play the notes on the Nord Electro? I'm not really familiar with how MIDI works, my concern is the potential that there will be some kind of interference between the two devices, but I hope they work parallel somehow?
