You can now get the old Jack Black, Ozzy video game Brutal Legend for Mac in the App Store for $10 (Mac app, not iOS app)

OJ. The time honored tradition of the iPad thread is you ignore what is posted - helpful, nonsense, life saving. You may get a response or you may not, but you DO NOT repost.
FIRST WARNING.
FFS.

I just realised how to listen to YouTube without the video, while I browse in safari, or when have the cover closed / screen switched off.
Usually as soon as the YouTube app loses focus it goes silent, so it's no good if you want to listen to a rip of an hour long radio interview. I realised that if you minimise it, then use the mini media player controls. (double home and swip the apps) . Now I can listen to YouTube with the iPad cover closed, or in safari.
This is in ios 5 btw. Dunno about ios6.

Philips is adding some more bulb types to its Hue idevice wifi controlled lighting system, a small spot and a light strip.
http://www.engadget.com/2013/08/06/phil ... n=Engadget
I have 4 of the regular bulbs in my apartment and they work as advertised. There’s also a third party app Ambify that accesses your iPod library and makes light shows with all your bulbs based on the waveform when you play music. Not at home, but I believe you can also choose which bulbs it accesses so the rave in your living room isn’t also going on in your bedroom….but why wouldn’t you want that??

I subscribed to Groove3 for $15 (cancel anytime) for a month so I can watch the Logic X tutorials. They have an iPad app I used to stream them to my Apple TV. EPIC!!

iPhone 5
Our little field trip to SF benefitted me and the thief who snaked my 4.
I never saw it get wiped though before switching my service over... Don't like that.. I'd be much more at ease about the whole thing KNOWING it was factory reset instead of hoping.
Still, it was a fun night. Thanks
