just a heads up that it's still there in 8.0.5. and i haven't used warmverb at all for a while, so, contrary to what it looked like before, it can't be warmverb's fault - sorry for that.

man, i hate this...

I don't have warmverb and a while ago I got the copy protection warning too. Called support they were baffled, I re-installed Live and that fixed it. Werird though.

Should not happen at all in 8.0.5 - if you encounter something like this, please send a mail to support including the information asked for here:

EDIT: was my fault - see 2nd answer below...

hi guys,

i have this problem now also on an imac. the message appears when i open live - there is no plugin or something else loaded in.
it happened the first time today - 2 days ago it worked well...
had live 8.0.4 on the machine and will now install 8.0.8
(wanted to make music for a few minutes spontaneously - now i have first to download the 1.42GB big update........ :( )

will report if the update brought something.

bye

ups, i saw that it was my fault !
so i write it down here - perhaps someone will find it useful.

the error was a really stupid one.
- had 8.0.4 on the machine
- installed 8.0.5 update some time ago
- didn't replace the shortcut for live 8.0.4 in the dock

a few times i could start it with the old shortcut... but then (however) this message came...

yes, stupid, i know
(i am new in the mac world...)

sorry for blaming...

I use XP... and keep a shortcut to the apps I use most right on the main Start menu. I've done the same thing. These days I let the app install a shortcut on the desktop, move that one, then delete the older version.
