Save midi mapping! Drag and drop your device or clip or track from the browser and the midi mapping is gone. Come now.

yeah aswell as having the option to actually hide racks totally.
oh, and the ability to show a rack without having to show all the chains in a rack.

avoid more bloat, and get back to a rock solid audio engine that can take almost anything you throw at it.
Obviously some of the ideas here are much needed, but live isn't the rock it should be right now, and until it becomes what it should be, everything else is moot point to me.
make 8 great!
implement share
where's m4l?
improve 3rd party plug in hosting.
etc

More flashing lights. And a big 'MAKEMUSICNOW' knob!

- Multiple Cue Points
- Complete integration with Novations Automap (Reason and Logic already have this!)
- Drag&Drop/Rearrangable Macro Knobs
- Dummy Clips Channel

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head...

Improved multi-track Looper. Need a 'dump loop to clip' button that I can assign to midi. In fact, take Looper out of the effects/instrument area and put into clip slot with all envelope/clip controls (sample offset, etc). Imagine looping into dummy clips. Yum.

A built-in converter for .als to .rpp (Reaper Projects).
Ah, just a little joke.
Sorry, but I couldn't resist...

My wishlist:

Affordable M4L

No Live 9 till 2011

8.1 release with some nice Goodies and no upgrade costs for us always blindly updating!!!

2(!!!) new reverbs: One Algorithmic and one Convolution

Expand the possibilities of the Convolution Processor to something inspired by Speakerphone, but in an Ableton way

Amp simulator (i know, not so exciting for many people, but something i really use and which is helpful for anybody who happens to record his friends who are not so much in electronica

pitchshifting in the Waveform view, similar to Melodyne!!! (I think this would suit Live really good - you remember their "enter the Sample" Ads for ver. 3?

i think these are good suggestions, becaus potentially you could put them to good use in very different scenarios - Tracking of Rockbands OR experimental Electronic

My 2 cents

1. Record clip automation
2. Keep automation pasted into Session from Arrange
3. Some easy way to have the same shortcuts apply to whichever track is in focus
3b. Keyboard shortcut for shifting track focus
4. Arrange view 'mute' option for session view
5. Improved cup holder. Stupid wife keeps putting her cd's in mine.
