a quick way to get round any colourblindness issues is to set follow actions for each clip to play again... set the follow action to the length of the loop and away ya go.

active clips will flash constantly while playing... it isnt perfect but it helps me out alot as i really cant see any difference between the green and amber lights, unless i stare at em..

they are alot clearer on the mixer page though, i can see the dark green and bright amber and dark red really quite clearly... it would be nice if a custom colour set can be created for the session page..

its ok when running in native mode though right?
Oh diddn`t know . Thanks for that
 As usall , not that very clear about needing automap pro on either novation or ableton website or written literature( which of course costs extra)

Hay, I just wanted to give big ups to ya real quick. I bought my Launchpad from that same SLC guitar center yesterday as well =] I bought the 5th one, made me wonder who bought the other 3! We should chat online sometime about what we're up to with the launchpad! You can link my myspace, facebook, and new ableton-made album from http://www.dontbedapper.com
Hit me up so we can chat about our new launchpads!

I bought the first one from SLC Guitar Center.
I was number two. The guy who sold it to me said the person who purchased the first one was really concerned about getting it right away. If that was you, it sounded like you were really interested in getting it. What do you think of it?

I went in to just look around (honestly, I ain't lyin'). I asked the guy if he could show me a demo, he opened a box and i was like - SOLD! My wife wasn't impressed. I'm glad she loves me.
I like it. I figured i had to get it quick or they would be gone quick like the apc. I already have an apc and wanted to use it for more custom mappings, and faster mixer control for use live. So far, I really like it, but i cant wait to see what M4L can do for the user2 page.

Hey look, its a guy on the internet, opening a box!

Cant wait for the feature length version.

Edit: that sounds way harsher than intended. I just dont understand why people do this or who the audience is. Does that mean im old now?

Thank you... I was very unhappy concerning the refresh rate until I tried a dedicated usb controller. Also the stuck light problem is gone which occured at times. :D

Don't agree because on the back I prefer to place nocturn.

yeah and that way it's hard to accidentally unplug.. having a tiny bit of space between the 6 launchpads you have in your dreams doesn't hurt :) i love that connector actually, looks just sorta perfect.

and thanks for the 'dedicated usb port' trick. it performs very well on it's own place.

Resampling with the Launchpad is the most fun I've had in a long time. omfg.
Created a track for resampling. Added about 8 effects, including a Looper at the end.
Use the Launchpad to create a mess of clips at different points/different lengths.
Hit Looper to capture that. Abuse some more effects in the track.
Use LP to create another clip. Use LP to quickly move between my resampled clips.
Fire Looper again.
FFS. Pretty soon I created 2 more Resampling tracks and then had what amounted to a complete mess of sound.
It was pure bliss.
I came for the
But stayed for the :x
