weirdness here as well, set opens fine in 8.08, crashes "serious bla bla" 8.10 while opening (on XP)...

One thing which should've been mentioned in big red writing at the start of this thread is the latest info on the 8.1 download page:

"Live 8.1 introduces a new file format - documents saved with Live 8.1 or newer will not be able to be opened in older versions of Live."

Be careful out there...

Live 8.1 is pretty rock solid on my system. After
renaming the samples in drum rack to something much shorter
it's smooth sailing. Now I'm working on huge project with Absynthe, about 4
instances of Sylenth, 3 drum racks, and Alchemy
and it's moving along just fine. Also have my LP, APC40, and touch osc running flawlessly at the same time

MMMh, after all those messages it seems that v8.1 was released too early, just because it needed to for the release schedule of Max4Live ...
Too bad.
I would better wait for one more month to get Max4Live and have a really working 8.1 ...

Gah just got the Invalid ID error, and no i'm not installing another bloody beta. The project will now just have to sit and wait until 8.1.1 comes out.

Why release an upgrade without a corresponding change log? Why should we have to wait days or weeks to find out what's changed? It's out of order, Ableton!

my live 8.1 cant work for longer than a minute?

is anyone else having problems with clipping audio all the time?

then audio goes silent and the program slows down like mad, unable to do anything without waiting for a few minutes...?

is there anyway to get hold of an older version of 8?
