Anywho - Do we have any Acoustical Physics Engineers in the house? Or possibly some quantum/string theory dudes with PHD's in here?
I'd imagine they'd be too intimated by how much of a super-smart badass you are.
Why are you asking questions instead of giving answers anyway?
Clearly you are a God among trolls.
Another victim!

Why are you asking questions, too? As a matter of fact, why are you even posting in this thread? You have nothing of value to say or add to the discussion, just like the rest of them. Maybe you just like to hear yourself talk? So yeah... you're just a troll too my friend... Funny how irony comes back and kicks you in the ass really hard and fast.

Any real scientist would be on this one like white on rice. That's what they do! They love the unexplainable!

DJ's don't like the unexplainable when it challenges their ego's. It's a proven fact.

You know, this thread has me thinking...
  • Live should really have automation recording in session view
Max for live should really have a free runtime
Macs are better than Windows machines

I know it for sure and can't let you get away with that statement.

Make two identical projects, use only third part VST-Synth and effects and export.
Do that in two or three DAW's for reference.

If you can't hear a difference, then go and open an editor and you see it at least.

I uploaded already a test-project in the monolake thread, and you can use that one.
Downloaded your files, compared the mixdowns of Live vs. Studio One but did not notice any difference in regard to quality :?

cheers, palmer
Maybe you need to go get your ears cleaned out. And I'm being serious about that. I do it every couple months and it makes a huge difference in the way that hear things in audio. You should see the size of the balls of wax the doctor washes out. Some are the size of m&m. Incredibly important to keep your ears cleaned.

And thats probably whats at work here. People's ears are just full of wax, literally.. They cannot hear the differences because they have either blown their ears dj'ing with a monitors blasting 110db right next to their face. - Or they just have never cleaned out their ears and heard what a difference it makes.
Mhhh, so you do hear a difference between these two files in terms of quality? Could you describe the difference?

I don't know what files your talking about. Link?

Generally, after a cleaning... It's like all the high end is all of the sudden hyped up and much more open sounding. Best way I can describe it. Stuff becomes super crystal clear after the doctor visit. As I've said in a thread before. I feel like a German Shepard when I leave there. Its awesome!

This really doesnt explain anything about why people hear difference between software though. But it could be the reason they DON'T hear it, too :)

I'm sorry for you if you don't hear a difference, because there is...!
Don't know on what you listen and how trained your ears are,
so I really believe you when you don't hear it.
I do sound design, I make some money of it, my ears are trained and my monitors pretty good.
I hear it...

This thread reminds me of that strength test game at the fair. The one where all these tough guys, that think they are tough, try to step up and ring the bell but fail and walk away humiliated in front of their girlfriends.

Yeah, its a lot like that actually.. :D

Wow, funny.

You do not know what I am talking about but you know that I must have wax in the ears?

Oh, so you weren't really interested in what I was saying? Suprise, suprise..

And for the record, dipshit... I said you might want to get your ears cleaned. You're just putting words into my mouth so you can posture and make yourself look "cool" in front of the girls.

Wheres the links? Maybe I skimmed over them, asshole. I don't pretend to remember every god damn post I've read and what contents go along with them. Who does that? DJ's?
