Agreed. I'd prefer to find strategies for optimizing Love's ability to play in time!
the analogy some people make to games seems totally off. This is more like Photoshop sometimes screwing up pixels next to other pixels, in a way that is more or less impossible to compensate for.
Yes, the idiosyncrasies and imperfections of any instrument may provide serendipitous and spontaneous creativity,but this is about the engineering side of things, not really the artistry. I have to agree with everyone else who thinks that this is just sloppy and very difficult to work with.
so, I wouldn't mind asking again. For live performance, what are some strategies people use to mix external instruments, software synths, and software effects, all piped through Live?
