Jezzzzz  Finally a delay compensator to my UAD-1's and TC PoCo's that let us get the tracks in perfect sync without making a HUGE template to compensate with the compensators from UA end TC 8) 8) 8)

Nice one, Abes

Long kiss gooday, Live 5!!!

have to say sounds well wicked BUT...

• MP3 support makes your entire music library available for use in Live.

• Automatic Tempo-Matching tracks the tempo of imported songs and sets Warp Markers for you—instantly synchronizing your files to the project tempo.

prepare for EVERYBODY to start djing.

i was just talking about that with a friend.

I really dont want Live to become "that" app. The one that people are ashamed to use in public, because every act in the known world uses the same software.

Time to step up the game somehow for my live stuff... I need dancing ponies, and fireworks!!

you know, at some point in history, ppl started to overuse violins, then it was piano, then guitar, drums, whatever...
it's not the instrument that makes the music, it's you...

imagine if jimi hendrix had decided not to play guitar because "every act in the known world" used the same intrument...

Why do people always go on about LIVE potentially creating more DJs.
Beat matching is hardly rocket science anyway - and with decks already outselling guitars I think the interest in so many people wanting to be a 'cool' DJ is something that has been present for sometime now.

LIVE is an amazing program - it enables those with the desire to experiment and go beyond the usual beatmatching.

Ähemm...its basically the features coming that should have been there in Live 4... Finaly its possible to work with the midi tracks...
better late than never..an unavoidable update...and another 120.-€
so in the end 240.-€ to get midi functionality...
I hope its not as buggy as Live 4 was in the first year...
ups ..there was only one year live 4? ...thanks god its over !!!

I am very happy about the new version. No complaints at all. I wouldnt use mp3 myself but it doesnt bother me that the feature is there. Thanks for all your hard work Ableton.

What the helll????!!!
No 5.1, i don't get it there??? we are in 2005, who needs a fucking 70's phaser?
We all know effect that rearrange audio like this beatrepeat!!!
Is Ableton starting to think like steinberg?
I'm really disapointed by this upgrade...and it's 149 euros for lot of stuff without anyhelp, and just a few improvements
