Can you interpret the diagram?
Does it say to definitely buy it?

Well, it seems like a nice substitute for my aged Monopoly at a good price. The only drawback I can see is the slightly weird size. But that's not a problem really. I've not heard anything about the midi implementation yet, which is surprising because I feel like I know absolutely everything else!

A truly portable size/shape, true 4-in/out, pro-level (read Metric Halo, Apogee etc) audio interface. Sorry, RME stuff always seems to have some kind of 'Uh? If only....'. Basically if MH, Apogee or RME remade an NI Komplete Audio 6 in 4x4 I'd be set for life. Of course this entire thread is about 'me' but anyway....there does seem to be a gap in the market for this kind of box and not a wedgy pseudo monitor controller thing.

The Apogee Quartet doesn't do what you want?

unfortunately not in that dust-gathering non-rackable/baggable form factor

Hey, you're spoilin' a good* rumour there. This thread is about rumours, after all.
* I haven't read the post before the edit, so no way to know how good the rumour actually was.

It was a mock up of a pad controller that plugs into the OP-1.

This right here is why I will never buy Apogee products.
Ensemble FireWire
Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11): Not Supported
Ensemble Firewire and Duet Firewire users updating to Mac OS X El Capitan can expect the same performance as with previous OS versions. Though Apogee is ending official support of these products on OS X El Capitan and beyond, we will continue to make the current installer packages available on our website
They used the class compliant driver, and although they make high end boutique hardware they choose to not support it now that Apple isn't making a class compliant firewire driver built in to OSX. The dammed thing was $2,000 new. I'll stick with companies like RME that make their own drivers and update them as soon as an OS comes out. If I pay double the price for quality I expect service to go along with that.

that there smells like rancid donkey balls. Metric Halo are about to unveil a hardware upgrade that addresses EVERY interface they've ever made, adding connectivity, functionality, compatability and power. Buy once cry once.

true that. I've always heard nothing but good things about Metric Halo, well except the blood curdling prices.
