How can such a high end music software be so completely inept with the most basic features for managing complexities. We need a proper tagging system ASAP!!!

To be fair, I've heard that in virtually every host. I think I mentioned this, Studio One recently put the kibosh on this with an uber color option. But prior to that, the CONSTANT complaining about it.
Virtually all hosts have this limitation, it has nothing to do with what year it is.
I think I mentioned this too, I'm not fussed. I could care much less, they are fine with me. I don't want my projects to look like a fully Crayola set.........

I'm a big fan of organizing, so I would benefit from something like this a lot. I actually currently have 1 collection empty, because I I'm afraid of hitting the limit, and probably will have to do that pretty soon. And yeah, it doesn't have to specifically be these color coded collections, but some way of organizing samples, plugins, presets, ableton effects and basically just EVERYTHING, with one system/in one place, that works inside ableton, and that's doesn't have unnecessary limits, would be great.
Basically combinig the functionality of "collections", with the possibilities of "places" would be amazing. And if the people at Ableton are worried about it being too much and being a potential cause for clutter, I would see it as fitting to make this feature opt-in, similarly to how the collections can be enabled and disabled.
Collections + unlimited amount or higher limit + subfolders

0-9 for presets Color shortcut
\ Erased full color
10-20 User-selectable colors (or single color), Right-click assignment, or fast-key double number 10, 11, 20
20 I think is enough!?
maybe it was possible!
- Multi-loop highlighting the area with different color
- Warp markers with the possibility of color change (individually)
- Warp marker with insertion of a label such as locators!
- Saving different regions of LOOP (callable from a list) in warp mode

With the Push 3 out, I'm guessing Ableton is working on a browsing enhancement to make browsing for stuff in Push Standalone easier. I'm guessing in 12 we will probably see tags (even though they hinted earlier that they thought users wouldn't be interested). Maybe on the light end, just enhanced colors, but on the heavy end, tagging. I'm thinking they are thinking pretty deeply about this feature right now.
