not the best system to test on, i know. i dont know the HD speed, but it definitely needs some serious defragging. one of my RAm slots is bad so i can only run one RAM chip, hence the 256mb. i have to get a 512 stick soon. also all useless services and background applications were off.
i'll test on my main computer tonight...

Haha oh well.

So far I've never had "not enough". One or two glitches once when I played back lots of audio tracks, otherwise fine. Wouldn't swap it !

haaaah..
so you beat me by 1%?
damn..
but very strange;
you've got double my RAM and a slightly faster CPU..
or is it the RME that slows things down?

Seems like we have a pretty decent sized compilaton of results....
Are we going to see a consolidated results list?

well, i could draw charts and graphs, but i don't have any app that allows it...
would be nice to have 2 different charts for macs and PCs.
by the way, i'm really surprised how a simple set like this one can suck such a big amount of CPU.

That's not bad at all why the sad face

?
I'm on a 3.2ghz Machine and get 32% so i wouldn't be all that worried.
This test was meant to be far more CPU intensive than the last one.
In relative terms you're still doin' better than a G5 1.8-2.0ghz system by a few %.
And none of our fellow Mac buddies are finding Live unproductive at those levels of CPU use.
I get more than enough juice on my PC IMHO.
You do on yours also.
Seriously are you finding that level of CPU functionality is not enough ?
Just curious.
