Hi... I use Live together with Arkaos VJ and these two programs work really fine.I trigger videos from Live in perfect sync with my music.
I think video stuff should be separatd from Live.

yeah sure we can trigger clips in another application, likewise we can rewire to logic etc, but this is not an efficient way of scoring video/film/movies. i'd just like to see a native Live Quicktime plugin effect, that can be dropped on a track and gives us a quicktime movie window, enabling us to score properly, with Timecode etc.

In fact, video is about the only DAW-style feature I would be willing to upgrade for.
One more monetary vote for video in Live 6!!!

Revision is a nice option for basic sync & playback of quicktime movies on OS X...

Personally, I just (really) want a floating, resizeable, quicktime movie playback window, that syncs to timecode. I don't want Live to get into video synthesis or editing. There are plenty of video performance options that can be triggered by Live's midi functionality... motion dive, arkaos, MAX/MSP/JITTER, etc...
BTW, Pro Tools TDM (HD, MIX, etc) users can add basic video capture and editing funtionality to Pro Tools, but its 12k (basically an Avid DSP card), though there is a 1.7k option too... that is, as an add on to a minimally 7K system

Video would certainly be a useful feature. Not a full-blown editing monster suite, just a simple Quicktime window!
Hey, even a smaller app like Tracktion has it!

yes, just a basic video window that is locked to the arrangement time would do me.
one single video, playing in sync.

exactly.
no need to edit video
no need to do fancy crap
just a synced video window, that you can lock to some timecode.
and that scrubs / loops / etc properly.

Then it should only be available in session view.
Else, they should make video available as a clip as well.

why only Session view?
in ProTools it is appears as a part of the timeline
whihc makes total sense as working to video si about
using a video reference as your sync timeline
u can change where it starts in the timeline as though it was a clip
but the idea of having multiple video clips inside LIVE would seriously
complicate implementing it....
