Hey, yeah, any news on Baltimore. I am interested in coming out to check it out. As a grad student, I don't have that much time to devote to music right now, but I jammed a great set (pretty much straight djing) at the frying pan in NYC last october for about 1:45 hours.

Would love to come check everybody out....so when was that date again (b-more)?

Cheers,
AB

Rob pm'ed me, mentioned Havana Club has some logisitcal downsides (dress code, dining room crowd on floor below not 'electronic-thump friendly') and he's on the road, but will be checking into some more venues in baltimore, outlook is still favorable.

Perhaps I can look around a little too, though I am not terribly connected to the music crowd here.

Ableton Live: Full Studio in College Park

Hey everyone..

I have a mini home studio in College Park. Full PA, Midi keyboard, trigger finger, turntables/mixer, midi foot controller, mackie mixer, guitars/amps, efx processor...

It's a lot of equipment in a somewhat small room. With people gathered around, we could fit like 6 or 7 people in here.

I'd love to meet others using Ableton 5 around here.. I always learn the best from others...

I'm new to the board-- let's get this meeting goin!

peace
Ari

Yo!
Regarding the May gig in D.C., I have a fender passport pa.. If anyone finds this is useful, let me know and I can bring it!

Also, what is the set up for all 6 performers.. If one brings a laptop and a couple other pieces of hardware.. will theer be time between performances to set up your rig?

Anything else , let me know!

Greetings,

Enough people have expressed interest in an Ableton gathering
in College Park, so we are going to put one together!

If you are interested, please join the thread "College Park Jam"

We need to figure out a good day and time that would be most
convenient for all our busy schedules. I propose a weekday
evening, or Saturday/Sunday during the daytime. Please put
in your vote on the "College Park Jam" thread.

I would like to have a date set and a reservation for the room
in a week.

Hope to be jamming with you soon,
Andy

BALTMORE PEEPS -

I think I will be able to get a night at the Ottobar in April. Details need to be worked out. I am going to try to set it up like DK did in DC in January. He had like 9 performers doing 15-20 minutes sets I think. Just wanted to let ya'll know, I will post more details as I get them.

Baltimore show is booked - April 18th at the Ottobar MAINSTAGE!!!!

It's a Tuesday, but we can get started as early as we like, and knock off as early/late. We need to get 40-60 people through the door, and if we do I am guessing we can make it a regular thing. Otherwise the owner will confiscate my nuts.

Please PM if you want to perform or let me know how you can help. I don't know diddly about promotion etc. so any help would be greatly appreciated. DK and Mikemc advice would be greatly appreciated.

I need to get our line-up to the Ottobar by next Weds. March 22, so let me know now.
