okay so if one decided to go the poor man's route and use two keyboards to fire clips etc..., how does one only switch one keyboard to CAPS without the other switching too? when i do this, both automatically go to caps.

hey glu,

you need max.

without some software in between live and your keyboards, it will just see them as one.

In Max, you can have as many seperate keyboards as you want, no need for caps.

simple as that. you want to use two keyboards, just drop a tonne of dough on a low-level modular programing environment, and away you go...

Well, if he had asked nicely, I would have built him a standalone program with MY copy of Max, but YOU ruined his chances, you dick!

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

that was brilliant havent read a thread like that here before, but seriously that controller seems cool but if it means buying expensive software as well and having to learn to type >&880%> $$$..o18o1 to use it then too hardd for me. good if it had a nice interface

What software do you guys think the man was using to pull out chops like that? I can't see how coul one do that with Live... My main use on this stuff would be to launch and stop clips.
Anyway, 500 bucks is a bit expensive in my opinion.

could be done with live but would have to be a pretty specific set up, if there was a good template you could have in live it might change my mind, but like the other guys said it was probably done with max/msp, you can download a 30 day trial from www.cycling74.com you gotta program and build everything from scratch, if you are into that sort of thing its good

to start and stop clips, the faderfox lx1 is a beauty. small, with 256 different ccs to send. costs around 200 bucks, ...i think its out of production now, and replaced by the lx2 ....with less buttons
