Someone who knows how needs to reverse engineer Novations Automap protocol and feed it into the Jazz Editor. How cool would that be?
Can someone confirm this?
Other protocols for transferring text will be added if there's demand.
Wow Axel, you're really getting some awesome stuff out of that box! I'll be first in line when you design a tablet pc

Speaking about that, some of you people might want to check out the recent JazzMutant forums. There's a whole bunch of people there that will be willing to give you feedback on their use of the Lemur.Splashmas wrote:I do sometimes wonder how often the people giving advice on forums have actually used the device in question though
I think the lemur is great (played with one at Messe a few weeks back). What I did realize, however, is that one spends a LOT of time looking at the screen when manipulating objects. This is a bad habit that would have to be fixed if you want to stay connected to your crowd. Looking down all the time is a bad thing for connecting to your dancers.
You can jump up and down, get wacky, and still hold onto a knob and not do anything bad to your mix. Try that with a touch screen and I know it won't hold. This is something that one should consider when choosing a controller.
This is why I went with a hardware based interface (DJM-800 and an MPC). I like to touch and bang on things and hate trying to look at my laptop or in this case, a lemur.
Great product, but make sure it fits your artistic needs before your functional ones, IMO.
