Skimmed the whole thread and I'm amazed the 2nd pic in the 1st post didn't generate more questions/curiosity. Are you actually doing any music production with that old arcade box? (I'm really interested in the design of new interfaces and processes for music interactivity/creativity/entertainment.) Are you manipulating clips with those controls, or is it just a MAME box with some Ableton wallpaper on the front.

I'm just now coming up on this Jerker desk - looks the bomb - looking to save space
anywayz
if I got this right - you buy the desk, then the add own shelves...seems a bit expensive?
but if can find a desk and shelves on CL I'm cool right?
thanks

Not 100% sure on current prices but my setup was $99 for main desk plus top shelf (now I think it's $129), Also have 4 accessory swivel shelves on mine which were $10 each (X4=$40) Last month by me the shelves were $20. Extended top shelf Was $30 and I think it still is $30.
So the total for my desk was $170
I think the current price fo the same setup is $239
(PS, I doo have a third extended shelf pictured but I never use it so I didn't include it in the price.)
The swivel shelves design has changed slightly but I think they can still hold 65lbs each.... I highly reccomend you get them. I love being able to just swivel my monitors in to get my sweetspot and mix, then just swing em back out to fill the room properly for everyone else.

I've owned the Jerker desk for about 5 years now. It's without a doubt the best and most versatile desk I've ever owned - great for monitors on the swivel sides, so I can position the sweet spot as needed. The side panels hold up to 50 lbs. Plus you can add more for about $10 each. The desk is about $90 at Ikea. Well worth it.

The extended shelves are the same as the second long shelf that comes with the jerker with extensions on the vertical rail. Look at a side angle of my pics and you will notice the top 12 inches of the vertical support is added on.... and the ext shelves have my computer, 3 monitors, EZBus mixer and the top one just has my software boxes and blank cd's... Those are the extended shelves

if you rotate your decks 90 degrees 2 decks with a 19" mixer will fit across the desk

just swooped it - now I gotta put it together
2 swivels

Since you bought it used, it may not have the instructions, MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE STABLIZER BAR/BRACKET ON (Should be about 1 to 1 1/2 foot from the bottom)!!!, if not you will be very unstable. and don't over-tighten to the point that the metal buckles.... And take pics!
