all we can do is keep asking for it. I emailed them directly and sent the link to this thread in particular.

I got a reply that said it is high on the list of wishes, and that they will be including it in the not-too-distant future.

I'm thinking that Apple will be coming out with a new overhauled version of Logic soon, so maybe that will finally be the DAW that will set the standard. Live is great as a songwriting tool, but its going to have to become a bit more flexible before it becomes my DAW of choice.

+1 Bump. This is the one that would take Live into competing with the big boys. Well, that and audio crossfades and automation curves.

Went back to Logic for time signature / meter changes in a project and really missed all my Live features. Please give us this in Live 6 as point update.

This thread should never leave the front page of forum.

It's absurd that time signatures changes aren't allowed.

I'm glad I found this thread. The way I get around this? I say, screw the arrangement. I do all time sig in the clips, Global Quantization is off (I play drum triggers and have a scheme set up in Reaktor to switch scenes). So I know that doesn't help much, but you could set the quantization to the beat resolution, so you shouldn't have much problem unless you have 19/16 passages, or just crap rhythm, in which case you should just practice more ;? But damn, much as I love Ableton, I can't believe they even released version 1 without time sig manipulation in the arrangement, with a straight face!

My next set is performed in 6/8, in protest!

yes we're not all 4/4 dance artist!

I think this is such an oversight from my favorite piece of software (LIVE)!

I'd love it to be easier to go into 6/8 breakdowns in my 4/4 hardcore punk experiments.

also I have been working with some metal bands lately (producing) and I only use Ableton Live, these bands rarely stick to one time signature.

it is astonishing that you can't change time signatures. real limitation. i don't use live for those pieces.
