shit, i don't know anything about euro-shrooms, but i do know a couple of useful things:



if you grow your own (highly recommended! not as hard as you might think) the best time to pick em is just before the cap tears away from the stem... y'kno? right before it opens. At least that was what me and my lady at the time figured after trying picking em at various stages. They're still small at this point, but they tend to be way more potent! Of course we had a shitload growing and could afford to just eat handfuls of the small ones. I suppose if we were trying to sell em or provide a lot of friends with em we would have let them grow a bit more.


also, another good thing to know: Most of the psilocybin is in the stems, not the caps. the caps expend most of their energy making spores....



well, thats about all i have to say... i only really know about psilocybin cubensis, so i can't impart any knowledge of any others.


but i will say this: 30 whole mushrooms is a fucking lot if they're p.c. i usually eat about an eighth ounce at a time if they're dried, and that's a pretty strong dose.

the ones I had in the UK were these tiny little things - and due to some loophole in the law you can actually buy them in shops - I dont know what kind they were but I know a friend picked some in wales and they were the same, so they are local

the dose I bought was about 30 and I was told to split it with someone and I only just felt something - i think if I had the whole bag it would have been different

That is an EXCELLENT IDEA for a TV show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would watch it and record every episode!!!!

The Melbourne (Red Hill variety) have a long thin stem about 6-7 cm in length, the caps are about 3cm in diameter and they are a kind of golden brown colour. I personally wouldn't consider that large and chunky. One or two of those will send you where no man has gone before. The cool thing is that it is also very pleasant and I know not one person who had a bad trip with them. Once a year we used to throw a party where about 30 people came along and ate them. Quite a few of them were straight too who took no drugs, not even a toke on a joint, yet they enjoyed the experience and didn't freak out. It was great fun!!! But I don't do that stuff anymore.

By the way, the Red Hill variety only grow around May/June and are in season for about 3-4 weeks. Then that's it for a year. It's amazing how many freaked out dudes you see walking around the fields in Red Hill during that period.

I remember one year picking 2000 of them!!!!! I was hoping to boil them up and keep the liquid in a preserve jar. But I didn't know then that everytime you open the container, you had to resterilise it. Unfortunately, it went rancid. What a waste!!

for everyone else, pookies are small when they're fresh, VERY small when they're dried. 30 fresh is about a mouthfull...a couple of chomps and washed down with some water and your set. 100 sounds like alot when you have no idea what they look like in the palm of your hand, or when you listen to a dumbass like astral fudge peddler. Treat pookies with caution, should you get a chance to take them. And take small doses, like 30, every 15 minutes untill you reach your peak - then once you're comfortable you can take more if you like. Or hell, just make some tea out of them and juice it. I occassionally make a contribution to a forum that caters for a product run by the makers of the software I use.
