That you can make copies of clips, select all, and disable the notes. Then, work on melodies or beats with those disabled notes visible - much like the "ghost" function in other sequencers.

Command-i (Mac; must be Ctrl-i on PC) for "Insert Time". 8O

Actually it's called "Insert Silence..." and replaces the "Insert Scene" menu entry when in Arrange.

I never knew about this command and just stumbled across it by accident. Before I found out, I always used to copy "nothing" of the timespan I wanted to insert and then used the "Paste Time" command (Command-Shift-V), which is not really what I'd call good workflow.

I was always wondering why there is no proper "Insert Time" command. Well, I should have searched in the 'Insert' menu instead of the 'Edit' menu.

looping textures by taking one clip dupliacting it and reversing it and having a follow action between the 2 clips for unending noise

I just accidentally encountered a new one:

Double-clicking the zoom area in the piano roll while zoomed in, maximizes the window.

Hold down Cmd (the Apple key) when dragging in multiple clips to put each on its own track.

Does anyone know how to do macros? for example if I wanted to make a new midi track with an operator on and turn the volume down and select it for cuing, all in one go? would you need live 6?

Session view certainly, not sure about Arrange (at work, can't test).

Select multiple clips in browser with shift (usual way) then drag in whilst holding Cmd.
