*in arrangement view (while zoomed in) holding alt + command while clicking and dragging lets you pan left & right.
-----ctrl + alt on PC i do believe, also works in clip view, really handy when editing midi notes

Command-i (Mac; must be Ctrl-i on PC) for "Insert Time".
Actually it's called "Insert Silence..." and replaces the "Insert Scene" menu entry when in Arrange.
I never knew about this command and just stumbled across it by accident. Before I found out, I always used to copy "nothing" of the timespan I wanted to insert and then used the "Paste Time" command (Command-Shift-V), which is not really what I'd call good workflow.
I was always wondering why there is no proper "Insert Time" command. Well, I should have searched in the 'Insert' menu instead of the 'Edit' menu.

Select multiple clips in browser with shift (usual way) then drag in whilst holding Cmd.
