the beam is the unjust war the US is waging and all of the human rights violations surrounding it. The mote represents Castro's crimes.
it's not about you personally.

yeah, I caught your point, even as finely nuanced as it was. Here's the point
you're missing: I was asked what my beef was with Castro and I answered the question. We weren't talking about George Bush or American foreign policy. We were talking about Castro. Simple as that. Saying that Hitler or Pol Pot or (if you believe it) George Bush is a big bastard too doesn't answer the question about my beef with Castro, nor does it excuse Castro's history.
But now I see I've opened a door for Pol Pot defenders here in the think tank. Have at it!

i tell you what, i'll just go ahead and lower the level of debate to the toilet and tell you to shut the fuck up. how's that work for you, douchebag?

I guess that's rhetoric... but I'm still dancing.
Yes, but even Flint said that as a person he liked falwell.
Unlike you, it looks like Flint is a reasonable human being. You should not take joy in someones death.

I totally agree. So many people around here think of themselves as "enlightended" or "non-conformist" but they are the sadest group of conformist I'ver ever seen. So unable to think for themselves.
A person has died. A person who did much good for many people. He had a disagreement with how things should be done (laws, etc.). He attempted to take his believes to the people in court cases or through voting. Sometimes he won, many times he lost. This is how civilized people do things.
I certainly did not agree with most of what the man had to say, but I am not "glad" he is dead (indifferent perhaps).

Aint that the sad truth.
What are you talking about? Quite the closed mind you seem to have.

Did Jerry Falwell use Ableton Live?
No.
(moderator, please lock this bitch down, it's a major pointless thread)
Cheers!

Yeah, I'd say that's sufficiently in the toilet. You pick up that move at the Oxford Union Debating Society?

Generally, I don't think you should celebrate a persons death either... But yes, there will be dancing...
You both took the words out of my mouth. I think it is natural that there is a sense of relief when someone perceived as evil either goes away or dies. I wouldn't tend to be happy about anyone's death but Thatcher's passing will definitely spring a party. And I don't remember many open-minded people being sad about P W Botha popping his clogs. Although I wouldn't dance on anyone's grave - if I hate them that much I wouldn't want to pollute my shoes with their filth...
