I would argue the better DJs I've seen in the last couple years are the ones most people haven't heard of. The ones that everbody has heard of are old and tired and lack the excitement of the newer DJs.

That was Rubbish. I have no beef with any of the people involved with such a project, but that trailer just about summed up eveything that's wrong with dance / deejay culture in the world these days. My 2c.
Does anyone read?

Like I said in my last post...the trailer does not SUM up what were doing with the TV show folks...it's barely two minutes of a very larger picture. When you first started spinning could you mix, scratch, blend, not hit the needle when spinning?...think about it

Well, I'm not here to make enemies...and actually, this is great feedback to work from...the trailer was shot on a very limited budget in a short amount of time...it's really for pitching to the networks so it's not that big of a deal. However, I would like folks to see the bigger picture with the TV show and the DJ industry...I'm not here to novelize or make the DJ cheesy in any way...I'm here to educate, explore the planet's hottest scenes, as well as the underground...I'm here to let the people who buy the music from their favorite DJS get better acquainted...and to give the younglings a chance to show themselves and to see what it truly takes to make it in this business...it's not all Tiesto, or Oakenfold, or Ibiza...props to them and that scene, and they will be featured...but know this...we're gonna be all over the globe spanning all genres and you tell me what you(the viewer) wants to see...I didn't name it GREAT DJS OF THE WORLD:GREAT DJS GREAT CITIES for nothing. From Paris to Miami, Germany to Finland, there are thousands upon thousands of bedroom DJS who want to make their mark...I'm here to give that opportunity.
KEEP THE COMMENTS COMING and much obliged!

I admire how you're taken the barrage of bad attitude and come through it in a positive manner. It says a lot for your character, and not a lot for the haters, who continue to publicly display their jealousies and insecurity at the success of others.
Best of luck with your project!

Then why is the promo so remarkably cheesy? The rainbow + gold graphics and housey music date from the mid nineties. I won't even start about the giddy spokemodels recruited from the Home Shopping Network. If you want any kind of cred with actual djs or EDM enthusiasts, try starting with a promo trailer that incorporates a contemporary style and visual aesthetic, and doesn't go on about the "hottest" nightclubs, celebrities djing, etc. This is why you're getting flamed so hard on a forum full of serious djs.
[from the video]"
This new show, Great DJs of the World is about djs battling it out, as we show you the hottest clubs... Celebrities partying at the hottest clubs! Not only that, but hopping on the decks afterwards."
"battling it out"??? Since when do club djs battle?
DJ PSYCOSMILEY wrote:I'm here to educate, explore the planet's hottest scenes, as well as the underground...
What exactly do you mean by "hot"? The best places to spot celebrities and seduce drunken sorority girls, or places where new and interesting trends in dance music are flourishing? These two will almost always be very different, if not mutually exclusive. Take a look at the evolution of EDM, and you'll see that the underground
is and
has long been the planet's "hottest" scene.
The point is, you're telling the forum that your show is all about the music, exceptional djs, the craft, and the technology of djing. But the trailer is telling us (and the network execs you're targeting) that it's all about jetsetting, poontang, and nightclubs.

It's for selling the show to networks to get money, I'm sure. I don't think psychosmiley needs to explain himself AGAIN, check his posts this is getting redundant and he's been chill.
psyco - my tiesto post was a joke, that video is funny, sometimes a
