Don`t know to call it sad or stupid. Someone asked for advice, got abused for no reason. Knowing the jumpy nature of some individuals, I simply went for pm solution, obviously he had everything warped without even knowing how. New user does not have to know all the factors right from the day one, find nothing wrong in asking and don't mind to help as I was helped too numerous times when I started with Live. His problem was fixed days ago yet here escalates useless quarrel -since it is not even a discussion. If Live was not good enough I wouldn't use it. In 15 years as a producer I was never asked with what I recorded Ampex or Studer, Protools or Live. You simply have to deliver up to a standards, and if someones Live product does not meet such standard, it means that the user is not able to make best of it and must either find out why and how or use other solution.
If you professional it means you do your work and you sell it. As long as you get paid and/or there are people who listen to it, why bother about the rest.
The main point, is to make best out of it- Ableton software, I read carefully and analise any input from that forum. However I always like my espresso made by Italians and curry by Indians, I leave technical side to the experts- Ableton crew_-I trust their competence. What is interesting from such forum is real, sincere observation of the users, some are trained musicians, some are DJs, some more on tech side and it is increadibly valuable as long as it comes from their experience, even if they are amateurs or beginners. I always learned a lot from my students or "ignorant" public. There is no such thing as stupid/useless question really but more then much of ignorant answers. People might be "objectively" wrong, that does not bother me as input as long as it is information- what they hear, feel, whatever. The "what they, you are suppose to hear..." is of hardly any value. I regret that someone like Josh left the forum, I do not regret that I mention that time about noticing a problem with warp with unchanged tempo, since it was a "problem of the moment" I needed to deliver important remix ASAP and in the best quality I could. I didnt wine about the warp, simply switched it off, end of the story. The fact that it gives sleepless nights, obssesive posting of one individual is not my fault, my friendly behaviour didnt help, I guess he needs some expert help but anyway I simply decided for the first time to use Angstrom script, itis active so, no point to respond to it mr.muffin. You are gone forever.

very funny, rikhy.
just because i'm the only one who tells you that you act like a arrogant know it all prick doesn't mean i'm the only one who thinks it.
I'm an asshole, sure. But you're just as bad, if not worse for not recognizing it.
y'know, the problem isn't that you claim that warp at orig tempo affects your sound quality, the problem is that you refuse to provide any supporting evidence. How hard would it be to post an offending file? You simply did not want to seem a fool. too bad. we're all wrong sometimes, y'know.

There is definitely a difference between Cubase SX2 and Live 6. If I run my MPC through Live´s channel, it sounds different then when I run the same audio through a cubase channel.
Ableton is cool and all but I will never track my expensive hardware with it. LOL
ANd then also when I used to make tracks with Ableton, I always ended up with a muddy bass track. Thats not the case with my Cubase or my MPC (with only 1 stupid filter per voice btw and no eq)
But its no problem because working with clips in the arranger is a disaster. When deleting bars and such, Ableton likes to make little audio clips in the arranger, that cant be deleted and they cut up other clips. So seriously for arranging and tracking, Ableton is the worst. But still, Ableton is cool and all. For LIVE usage it is the ultimate tool. For creating sounds and wicked loops it is fantastic as well

yet ignore their statements. They say the same thing i say about the warp at orig. tempo thing. that's my whole issue with you and the other one, that you simply refuse to acknowledge the truth after being proven wrong. If you experience such a thing, it is either a bug specific to the situation you encountered and should be reported, or is somehow user error, such as having accidentally placing and moving a warp marker in the file, or slightly changing the tempo. end of story.
i'll give it up when you either admit you were wrong, or post your example file or all of us to examine, at which point i'll say, "oh fuck, you're right!" and join you in an effort to get ableton to fix it.
