Yeah they gotta get the money from somewhere when updates are free for lifetime :)

So maybe this shows ableton is not that bad afterall
true - but I bought the producer edition XXL 3 or 4 years ago and later on got an update and there were a few plug-ins that werent included even though they were now part of the producer ed. - confused me for a bit, but you only get the plug-ins that were part of Producer XXL at the time - makes sense of course, but confused me because I couldnt actually remember what I had

thing is, I use FLS probably once a year for a few minutes

totally underrated program, and powerful, but I just really dont have a use for it :?

Fl surely have some good sides. I like the step sequencer of some reason :)
And there is quite a few interesting plugins. Besides I use it to route my mic through various effects in the mixer and lots of other stuff. Also Edison is getting more and more usefull (don't have to smack up a big editor. and its very intergrated in FL)

So I completely agree. The people who underrate it probably tried it long time ago when it was "just" a step thingy. Now its more, and I enjoy using it with ableton once in a while.

The xxl package thing also confused me but in the end i found the same conclusion as you, only the xxl plugins at the time you get. Well they only promised free updates of FL Itself. Besides, once in a while, you get some new plugins & such. No instruments in a long time but a few interesting effects (love filter etc).

Anyway this is a thread for celebrating Live 7, and as said before it has quite a few very welcome additions. Thanks to ableton, the beta testers and anybody else who helped the process (feature requests etc) :)

Guess I'm buying it! Things seem to work now. Sort of frustrating that they haven't for the last month though. Goodbye money! Hello session drums.

Hi,

What is exactly your problem? I assume, reading your message, that you log on to your account, and don't see any upgrade available for you?

- Can you see your current serial numbers registered on to your account?
- Are you sure you don't already have an upgrade into your shopping cart? Click on the shopping cart link, and see if it's empty, and if not, empty it.

Regards,
Amaury

Congrats on fixing the .nki/import bug. It only took ten months to repair, in live7.

so where's my live7 serial or how much longer till it's fixed in live6 ?
Ten months is taking the piss, mates.

Time to play!
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

Is that the bitterness that comes with owning a G4 in a world that has moved on to Intel? Or just trying to be cryptic?
Thanks guys, loved being a beta tester and can't wait to have the real thing installed. I'm getting the suite because I got such a kick out of using the instruments when I was testing.
