Triggering tempo changes with dummy clips is one I haven't tried.
another way to trigger tempo changes is to have blank scenes way down at the bottom of your set with the stop buttons removed.

firing these scenes will change the tempo without disrupting what is currently playing
I think that's what h2k is talking about, using MIDI dummy clips in the audio track's scene to automatically do the tempo changes.

With the dummy clips, you could have clip automation that makes the tempo go from 130 bpm to 90 bpm over 32 bars for example.

Or set it to 20 bpm for the last sixteenth of a clip.

Or make an acid house set that starts at 120 bpm and ends at 240, 2 hours later. Gradually speed the set up until there's no man left standing.

I do that for my partner's aerobics classes (not with acid house, whatever that is!), although she likes the tempo to ramp up linearly from 130 to 155 over 50 minutes.

Great for running and cycling, too!

Live 8 VJ Edition

Arrangement view lets you load video which is cool if you want to do a film score, but what about controlling video the same way audio is controlled. I know there is a program exclusively for Ableton called Just Add Music that is currently in development. That program is cool but it's still in the beta stage which means (bugs). Ableton is the MPC of software so video control should be implemented. All those in favor should bring this up to the Ableton development team.

Because Live has many curves. The poll wasn't very specific.
Live with her voluptuous curves. Try to find the G spot....

Tip: If the D light flashes, then you're doing it wrong.
