i agree. i find drum/group racks to b such innotive feature. it used to take up so much space putting drums on separate tracks. plus the whole mpc style design is perfect for me as i hav an mpc. slicing is amazing. even tho i dont sample that much anymore, ive always thought a daw should b able to do this. ableton has the functions of soundforge, recycle and an mpc. so need to use either of those thigns anymore. the only advantage my mpc had was the unique swing. but i can get over now having that and enjoy the money i get for the mpc.ausgeno wrote:7 was a terrific upgrade for me, Drumracks and Sidechaining were worth the price of entry alone, but I can't think of anything critical I need from 8.
i was surprised at how much i actually like the new features as when they were listed i wasnt that impressed initially. i use drum racks all the time for separatign my kits, and find it really quick and easy to use. and sidechaining is a wkd trick.
i would pay to hav automation in session. also i would love to see more focus for live djs. suh as multiple loop positions that can be triggered on the fly. less new effects and insturment you have to pay for and mroe clever ways to improve efficiency and workflow.
