Just watched 'Before Night Falls' directed by Julian Schnabel (2000); starring Javier Bardem ('No Country For Old Men'). I missed the beginning, so I still have to see the complete film.

Wow. A beautiful, hypnotic, & moving film. Used the main music from Herzog's 'Aguirre' by Popol Vuh. Had original music that was obviously based on the Aguirre music as well. In fact, all the music is excellent.

I'd have to say that director Schnabel is definitely a fan, if not devotee, of Werner Herzog -this film is as close to a Herzog film as you can get! If you like Herzog you will appreciate this film. Makes me want to see Schnabel's other films.

Great... mine too. Have been waiting forever for his A year With Swollen Appendices (revised edition) to come out. Seems it never will.

Just put 'On Land' on infinite repeat until it arrives. And when you need something a bit more energetic put on 'Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy'. That should tide you over.

I think that the Ambient collabs with Budd are also very noteworthy. And the classic Airports.
Also, Apollo and Discreet....

In my opinion, Eno can almost do no wrong. And all the amazing music he has brought into this old world far outweighs any transgressions the man may have made.

However, I have not heard some of his more recent works as an artist or producer, so I have to catch up. But up until around the early 90's he was infallible!

What a legacy.

If you haven't listened to them in a while, check out the first two Roxy Music albums 'Roxy Music' & "For Your Pleasure'; they still sound like a completely original blast to me, & far outclass most of their imitators.
