nice! I should try that as I'm still cutting resonant frequencies with master eq, until the very final mixing...
i guess it's the price / investment if you not make a lot of money out of music... any serious gear costs serious money.microlive wrote:You know, after browsing this thread for a while, something has become shockingly apparent....
For all the Flak that M-Audio guys get on the Ableton forums, there sure a lot of people using their products (myself included)... Is there a particular reason why they get flamed so much, or are we all just trying to sound like uber-cool Studio Technicians / Engineers who can afford the overpriced rare pre-amps & interfaces made by "better" companies???

Yeah whats the deal? All my M-audio gear is excellent.microlive wrote:You know, after browsing this thread for a while, something has become shockingly apparent....

Nothing, i've got a few M-Audio products myself (Audiophile FW, Trigger finger, & Evolution MIDI keyboard)... and i'm really happy with all of them. I was directing the question at some of the forum members who seemingly slag off their products because they're "mass-produced"....funky shit wrote:Yeah whats the deal? I'd be one of those guys you're referring to.microlive wrote:Nothing, i've got a few M-Audio products myself (Audiophile FW, Trigger finger, & Evolution MIDI keyboard)... and i'm really happy with all of them. A buddy of mine does sound for the casino's in Atlantic City NJ, USA. He sees Top ACTS (according to him) using a lot of behringer gear, as you can trash it, break it, throw it away and buy new stuff and have plenty of $$ left over to put things up your nose. I am shocked at the caliber of names he mentions using such gear.hambone1 wrote:M-Audio stuff is great value for money. I personally wouldn't use it professionally, especially live. I'd go for better materials, build quality, and reliability, or have a backup.
One advantage of M-Audio/Behringer/etc being inexpensive is that having a backup is affordable.
