I don't want to do serious work on a glorified iPad with a keyboard, which is what the Air seems like to me.
Yes, I'm being irrational.

It took me about 3 15” MBPs to realize I’m not as mobile as I thought I was. My workhorse is now a 27” iMac and all my mobile needs that’s a little much for an iPad is easily covered with the dainty 11” MBA.
But obviously we all have different needs.

I almost went 27" iMac as well this last time, now that the iPad finally runs Traktor. For me it was more an issue of acoustics in the end, even my wife's 21" iMac made things sound weird in my studio. Back to MBP.

What are you talking about? Reflections off the screen?

It was so wide/tall that on my desk it blocked sound from the monitors more than I liked.

Oh it will be well done if I go that route.

Already have a few new ideas for it.

As gloriously large as the 27” iMac is, nothing beats dual monitors. Resizing windows and changing focus is bullshit. Whenever I’m watching tutorials and applying what they are teaching I run the tutorial on my iPad or MBA, but I find myself constantly going for the wrong input device trying to pause or rewind the video using the mouse connected to my iMac. It messes with your brain.

Ick, I hated dual monitors, drove me crazy having bezels staring me in the face front and center all.

I was running my dual monitor with my MBP, my MBP on the main desk level and the second larger monitor on a shelf above and behind it at more of a looking straight ahead level. Would that work better for you than side by side?

Haven’t seen it myself yet, so it might be lies, but it’s being reported that Apple is starting to let developers include videos in their previews in the app store instead of just screen shots. Fucking awesome! I get tired of exiting the app store app to go to youtube and look for previews there.
