Beyond yuck, does the world really want another standalone portable music player?

I’m kind of surprised Spotify is so low. I don’t use it but people can’t seem to STFU about it, especially those who are proud to never buy music ever.
And so much for iTunes Radio being a Pandora killer.

iTunes radio only gets used so much because it turns itself on automatically.
Should be called MyTunes radio anyway.

Or it could be because a lot of old fucks use Apple products and they didn't know streaming music services existed until Apple invented it.

Quite a few people I know didn't even know iTunes Radio was on their devices. If it was a standalone app icon, I'm sure more people would use it. Having it inside the MUSIC icon basically makes it hidden to the average person.

^ if you're playing music off your phone via Bluetooth to car stereo and the track/album you selected runs out... at some point (getting in and out of the car) iTunes Radio will just kick in and start playing...
of course, this is a radio station comprised of your iTunes purchases so it's more like hitting shuffle on your installed and streaming library autofukinmagically. Ooh ahhhh...
Thanks Apple! ffs!

It's about time Apple splits iTunes into multiple apps. iBooks was a step in the right direction, but managing your iPhone apps from a music player? Bitch please.
