ah, because of "fascist", i guess... Well, not exactly: the fascists were the masters, the sheep were the ones like you, actually... Nowadays we call them "yankees" (the masters) and "brainwashed" (the citizens).

Ok, chilled out is maybe not the right term, I'm sure he never lost his passion. But he put aside his hate and in doing so became more relevant to many more people and therefore more of a threat to the system.

I'm petty sure that's what H2only meant.

And this is my problem with many of these threads. When people draw attention to bad things in the world, you raise awareness. If you cross the line into attacking a culture, you make people defensive. This has the opposite effect. Surely the last thing we want Americans to think is that the world hates their way of life. In fact, wasn't that what the bush administration used to say to drum up support for war?

Btw, I went off on one at myrnova in response to the same thing as forge. He explained it pretty well, and I considered it offensive enough to warrant a personal attack. Which I very rarely do. Some things just need to be opposed.
