4.2 has full MIDI support. (whatever the fuck that ends up meaning)

when running bluetooth on the ipad,does it run down the battery power alot?

Dunno. Haven't used any bluetooth anything with it. But I sure would like to try it with a regular keyboard instead of the screen keyboard, at least for typing anything of length.
