Good luck with all that.
which ones?

and yeah  @ putting all that info into several apps coded by several company's stellar teams of free thinking monotonous copy cat code monkeys. still, people are just ignorant enough to do it in the the name of convenience.

i was at Whole Foods the other day and saw that they are accepting Apple pay, and why not? it's not as if anyone carries as much cash as it takes to get out of there with more than a handful of items.

CVS, Walmart, and Rite Aid cut off their NFC terminals. Rumor has it they signed a non-compete clause in their 3 year contract with this other company. For them this new technology is going to mean they don’t have to pay a percentage to credit card companies because the money is taken directly out of your checking account. But they seriously have to be kicking themselves in the ass right now. It doesn’t just cutoff Apple. It also cuts off Google Wallet. As over reactionary as it may sound, a good percentage of tech loving people will just go to their competitors that offer NFC.

Android has already had NFC for years but Apple made people (in the US) excited about it. They probably saw the low historical Android usage (in the US) and thought cutting it off wouldn’t cause much of an uproar. But now they are pissing off both camps.

And on top of that, retailers like Target and Home Depot have had a nice recent history of having their credit card data hacked. Are people also going to want to trust their driver’s license and social security numbers stored in their cloud as well?

i'm not.

CVS is a joke anyway. i wish they would give Long's back. in my experience (in many of their stores) the staff is of lower caliber and the time spent in line is often lengthened by their pointless meanderings and failure to perform their mundane tasks that are hindered by coupons and the system failures surrounding those coupons. when this [often] happens it causes them to short circuit so that the register and the staff are both returning syntax errors.

i'd rather just steal my own identity and sell it than give more details of it to their collection of dropouts and impaired citizenry :x

That was exactly my thought too.

I take my comments about the new Air 2 not feeling that thin or light too. I had a chance to compare with the Air 1 yesterday, it's definitely much thinner than I thought. Or rather, I should that it was a case of me remembering the Air 1 as being thinner than it is.

Here's a little graphic of who is blocking Apple Pay and Google Wallet.

Oh, and along with storing your license and social security numbers CurrentC will also track your shopping habits. Another thing consumers really appreciate.

DUMBSHITS. :x

Divided things tend to fall to pieces.

Guess I'd better hold onto my credit card and cash a while longer.

CurrentC announced that if their partners kill the exclusivity contract there won’t be a fine. However, it’s rumored that each company (corporation) that signed up kicked down $250,000 to $500,000 and they’ll lose that initial investment.

I get the little guy in the corner store getting nickel and dimed to death by credit card transaction fees, but these are large corporations often putting the small businesses out of business with just their presence. Credit card transaction fees are nothing new. They are just trying to get out of something they’ve paid for a long time and “making things easier for the consumer” by this action is horseshit. It’s 100% about them not wanting to pay credit card fees and they couldn’t care less about the consumer in this. All they heard from CurrentC was “Stop paying credit card fees” and after that all they heard was “blah, blah, blah, and blah”.

BTW, I don’t see CurrentC as the bad guy in any of this. They offer a service that shorted sighted, greedy, and tech stupid corporations were willing to jump on.

I almost bought the PCalc app for $10 simply because it had a widget where you can access it from notification center. (Yes, 3 less steps to access a calculator is awesome innovation – not provided by Apple). But Apple told the developer they have to remove it because “widgets aren’t allowed to do calculations”. That’s their entire explanation. :x

I’ve read PCalc is an impressive customizable calculator for people who need/like that sort of thing. It isn’t $10 just to milk the (now gone) widget angle.

let's not pretend (like the retailers do) that they don't simply raise the cost of the products to make up for the "loss" in profit.

No. Boo-Keun Yoon truly innovated and gave his/her partners preference options. Cook just wants his partners to stay in his walled fairy garden.
