Re: iPad
I don’t expect the Apple Watch to be a huge hit, but given their history of resale value on first gen products it might be worth getting one, leaving it in the box, and waiting.
2 first gen iPhones just sold on Ebay for $25,000. Just sayin.

Re: iPad
Regardless. A first gen new category Apple product could be worth a mint in a relative short time whether it’s a wild success or Apple’s first flop in a long time, especially if Apple kills it.

Re: iPad
I would definitely buy 3 of them and let them sit in the attic for 10 or 20 years.
Hopefully it should cover way more than the social security we could have if it still exists.

get it straight.
i read that many of these "smart" pieces of wrist wear are and other devices that take your vitals and such are getting a bad rap as it pertains to privacy. they're quickly becoming the Facebook of accessories.
Re: iPad
My parents are obsessed with their health privacy even if it's a natural part of getting older and nobody would be shocked or disturbed if they found something out. Personally if my watch or a doctor via my watch can tell me to dial it back or put the drink down or I am going to have a heart attack I don't care if it gets out there. There's no prizes for dying and nobody saw it coming.H20nly wrote:fixed for iOSbeats me wrote:Apple’s first iFlop

Nah, I think there's more to it than that. Insurance for example... They might use that information against you. I dunno. It's not the fact that it's taking your vitals, it's the fact that it's being used to profit someone... besides you. When you pay for an app or gadget that is supposed to track your vitals for you are you really supposed to be paying for a app or gadget that is supposed to track your vitals for someone else's gain?

Well thank God car insurance companies don’t have access to your DMV record. They might use it against you to raise your premium.H20nly wrote:Nah, I think there's more to it than that. Jesse Jackson was at Apple HQ yesterday protesting.
He even had a productive conversation with Tim Cook…and then immediately went back outside and continued to protest.
Protesters want better pay for Apple employees who aren’t coders, the gods of the industry. At first I was fuck yeah! Then I changed to fuck no! Cost of living here is high enough as it is. I don’t need to get outbid by Apple’s janitor.
