Kodama you could teach bagginz a thing or three about politely telling people about vegetarianism.

"Prince, Mark Twain, Ghandi, Socrates, Steve Jobs, Leonard Nemoy, Einstein, all tardos..."
maybe not, but a bunch of f-ing pussies. could you imagine one of them in a fight? where's the power of vegetables then, huh?

I really do understand why you would want to shield yourself from any distateful images.

But there is either: 1. taking the red pill or 2. choosing to stay unaware. Ignorance is bliss

Ghandi would win with shame and guilt alone, after a few punches and him still standing non violently, I'd feel terrible.

I have spent many summers and other vacations working on my family's farms in iowa and missouri. Ive killed and butchered(half ass attempt) pigs. Ive killed cows to get them ready to go to the butcher. Ive been waiting in line with the meat for the scales or for the butcher to show up in un-refrigerated trucks. In highschool I administered steroids and shots that I have no idea what they were to cows(for my schools farm not my families). If you havent been personally involved in this shit its like a kid who played in call of duty telling a soldier how to kill someone. I know meat is sold putrid and rotten and then still processed for human consumption. This shit is nothing new. People have been writing about the horrors of farming and meating packing plants since the 20's maybe even earlier. So what is there I dont know? That its anyones guess whats been given to the animals? That horrible and inhumane things are done to the animals? what?

You should still watch it if you're sure, you owe yourself some truth - besides - it's all Moby-ized!
If its shorter than three minutes Ill watch it, I was hoping to get a summary because these things bore me. If there was something new and extraordinary I thought someone would come out and save me the time.

Edit-I watched it. even though after they compared the suffering of the jews in the holocaust to the animals today I knew it would be the same lame heart tugging sensationalist bullshit, I skimed the rest of it. it was exactly the same info Ive seen over and over. I love animals and I feel bad for them but I see most of this as necessary and un cruel with a few exceptions.

i watched it, and its like every other inflammatory movie that uses the exception to condemn the practice. sure terrible things happen to some cows, but have you seen what a lion does to an antelope? its a brutal but generally slow death, because the mom lion wants to give her cubs fresh meat. the world will never be without suffering. the reality is that we DOMINATE cows and pigs to the point of cutting them up, marinating and grilling them for delicious dinner. there are plenty of species that cause their prey to suffer. does that make use evil? no. are certain people evil? yes. just like most of us aren't serial killers, but some are. we don't condemn the human race for the exception case.

I challenge you.

I say we have been intentionally mislead, had the wool pulled over our eyes and been kept in the dark both by our culture and by the meat industry.

I challenge you to inform yourselves fully about exactly what you are eating and how it gets to you.

I challenge you to watch this documentary all the way through to the end.

Like I said, not expecting any ground breaking out pour of ethics on a DJ forum.

Keep up your pop nihilism guys, keep pretending like you don't know better because it comforts you now to do so.

Their suffering is a gateway to our personal and atmospheric destruction, and we really have earned it.

In a non-snobby way, At least I actively do things to help. Im getting my ass up at 7 am on a saturday to help set up tables and raise money and awareness about adoption cats and dogs. But dont tell anyone, if you do Ill swear I only do it for the chance to hit on women all day.

You like to throw the term "pop nihlism" around too much. Ever stop to think maybe some people just dont give a shit about certain things, despite the popularity of doing so or not?

Plus, who gives a shit whether its popular or not? Because its so called "pop nihlism" it somehow less valid that your super cool underground bleeding heart ethical jihad? Plus, its popularity only seems to exist in the minds of those who use it as a argumentative weapon against those who simply do not care about their causes. There is no pop nihlism, there's just a bunch of people who choose not to care about the shit that you do. deal with it

Sounds like I'm not the one having trouble dealing. Why post a rant about not caring?

Sounds conflicted to me.

i care more about the way these arguments are being argued than the actual argument itself
