The set is a bit of a beast, lots of workarounds in place to make it play nicely with an APC40 (without m4l!). I occasionally get the set freezing issue you mention and normally only when a clip is played for the first time on load. Not sure why there is no sound output though! Maybe I didn't switch back from external soundcard to internal, although I don't think that kind of thing should save with the set.

God speed on your travels! :D

Do you mind if I pass this one along to Ableton? With details of my setup and this set they should get the exact same issue over there. Might help them to track down whatever is crippling Live. What is happening here should never happen and I've personally hadn't experienced it before. But your set is just another typical example of how varied all our sets are. One chance in thousands to run across something like this.

As somebody who built his fair share of sets with outlandish workarounds I can only bow down to this one Sir.
And I know why there's no sound, there's only one sample in the samples folder. The .als file itself takes up the 6mb.

You have my blessing, please feel free to pass it along. Go easy on them, they're probably feeling overworked and under appreciated right now! (Rightfully so lol!)

Ok, the newest version is very stable, i still have the problem with values updating, it's as if the values fire through to quicly before the live.remotes have changed destination....

And am i missing something because each time i set it up and then go into edit mode i lose all my mappings? Should i ben clicking something as well as store with clip???

Once i've set it up though it's fing brilliant, hit a button to send a track to the send which at the same time maps the track control knobs on my apc40 to the destination of the audio.... very very cool!!

Cheers

Still haven't narrowed it down, but I'll find that damn bug.

I'm not sure how/why, but (re)saving the actual device may help in getting your data in edit mode. Works for me at least.

Actually.. Is it just the values, or are the names messed up too? Do they still correspond and its the actual previous mapping staying behind. Or is it really just the values (knob + numbers)?

Yeah it's simply the values the control and names are updated properly, but some (not all of the values) carry over from the previous bank.....

Right then, just mashed it for ten minute and couldn't get it to glitch at all....

I created the banks in the edit mode and saved the patch, predicatbly when i moved out of edit mode my settings had disapeared as they normally do so i recreated them and saved my set....

Now i can;t get the values to bleed between devices.... Ultimate!!

Give this one a go please: http://covops.dreamhosters.com/uploads/ ... 9.amxd.zip

I have a theory on what may be the problem. Lets see if this hits the spot.
You can hotswap with with any version since 0.9.7.

Ah. Glad to hear that. Maybe Sunil can check if the bug is gone.
I think it may be the last bug. At least I hope so.
The device is performing very nicely over here. From the sounds of it its working swell for you too.

I didn't check this patch before.
so I'm taking the train during the travel (as we say in France...)

is it a kind of enhanced dummy clip control ?

It allows you to use the same 8 knobs and buttons on your midi controller to be mapped to a variety of parameters and lets you recall them based on which clip is triggered. There's a video on my site which explains more.

I'm sure it is very useful.
in my liveset, I don't need that (yet) but in the future, who knows :D

It basically gives you control surface functionality but with infinite configurabilty! It's awesome.....

Wish i could get it to save more consistently, my work last night is lost this morning so i have to configure it again, i don't think the pattrs are working for me in this or in my main patch, i have a store <number> and recall <number> that i fire into my pattr storage but it seems to lose things when i enter edit mode.....

Cheers
D

EDIT: Right i think i've found my problem, seen in the max window that my configure.json file (my pattr file i believe) is missing, where should i be saving this to when prompted?

My device doesn't use json files because pattstorage is set to parameter mode.
If you're using json files for any reason, you'll probably have to make the device recall the path of that file. You could use the M4L.SaveString abstraction for that which is simply a pattr set to blob mode.

Do you need the json files for multiple sets? Otherwise I'd just keep on using it with data saved in the set like its designed in the clip mapper.
