Well I don't regret at all my suite upgrade months ago.

Enjoying it every moment... Operator and corpus all together is pure madness and lovely sounds.
Corpus is not only for collision and is powerfull

And bye bye lots of third party plugins.

just my point of view

Agreed, Hermanus. I think that a lot of users haven't really explored Collision - and Electric and Tension, for that matter. Either way, I'd say that Operator, Sampler and Amp constitute reason enough to upgrade to Suite. Sure, you may have a "better" 3rd party sampler, but not one that integrates so neatly into Live (try replacing a Simpler in a drum rack with a 3rd party sampler quicker than you can right-click and choose "Simpler --> Sampler"!). Sure, you may have other soft synths, but aside from FM8, there aren't really all that many that could replace Operator, which has that added advantage of being neatly placed away from Session/Arrange (assuming you're using a single monitor, which I suspect is what the majority does). Amp may not be as fantastically close to a true amp as Amplitube, but are we tweakers or are we completely unable to turn some knobs and add some devices here and there to sculpt our sounds? Amp is a great Suite bonus to me.

I'll gladly admit that I don't really dabble too much with Collision, Electric and Tension, and I have a plethora of better alternatives than Analog. Still, I'd say get the Suite upgrade - it's an even greater offer when it's on sale!

For an idea of what Tension can do listen to the demo's for the AAS Journeys sound pack -> https://www.ableton.com/shop/more_info? ... mber=85102.

I was seriously tempted to buy this after listening to the demo's from the instruments page, but when I clicked for more detail and saw that it is all done with Tension I thought if they can do that with Tension then I ought to spend more time exploring it myself, instead of buying presets for it.

I'm still very tempted to buy while the sale is still on though - only 19 Euro.

I have Suite and *think* I only use Operator mostly, Session Drums a lot, and sometimes Analog, but barely ever collision/tension/etc.

When I actually look through my songs though I notice "ah yeah, I used collision for that little sound" or "tension layered behind that thing" in a lot more places than I think! If I only had Live and was thinking of getting another Ableton instrument such as Operator or Sampler I'd just buy the Suite for the extra few quid.

I have the boxed version so have Session Drums though which I'm not sure is in the download version? Never got a real answer on here as to whether the extra "Bully Kit" is really worth it though in terms of sound...

Yes you're right session drums not included with download version.
If you got session drum, are you sure this pack will worth the buying?

You got several other packs that could be good and not too expensive [hurry last day today]

I would say the same to crumhorn, go for something that really bring something new, not something you can do with ableton devices.

Gamelan, PANDRUM! or maybe tremors for the less expensive.

Best and sorry for the late answer

Im very tempted by Sample Logic Acoustix and SonArte Sound Objects. Not sure if my budget will run to both though. still a few hours left to decide.

Noticed it's been extended until June 5th.

So is this really because the Golden Master of Version 9 got delayed in the works?

When stuff you don't want goes on sale at the grocery store, do you make sure to go tell the manager that you don't want it? Or talk about how the butcher next door didn't send out a Sunday circular advertising their sale on specific cuts of beef?
i still paid for features that was announced but never got implemented + i paid full price for a product that wasn't even RTM status.

i bitch all i want because i apid full price for something that's not even working properly, with things missing, and now they want to push even more shit out, and lure new users. at the least these users get a relatively stable version.

I'm sorry but I just had to quote these two unrelated items from the earlier post which are so funny together...

The Suite just doesn't seem to be much of a temptation even at a 3rd off. Just about everything in the Suite I have an equivalent 3rd party plugin. Instead of adding more stuff I should learn to use what I have. That includes Live itself.
