Damnit I wish I'd seen this on Kickstarter!

My guess is they're not taking any more pre-orders at $200

They aren't taking preorders through Kickstarter, however Matt has said that the street price is the same: "$200 will get you a QuNeo".

Right now, we're pre-ordering at 249. If you wait until April, you will be able to get one for 200... :D

Why so much extra for the pre-order?

Hey Matt, great to see some NAMM footage. Any chance of showing some documentation like development kit info and template specs to tide over while waiting for March? (Or really just anything new for a fix:p)

Oh and will it be possible to double the step sequencer time?

Hey,
Just got an update from Keith & the Sales team. We sell at list on our site, and the reason you might want to pre-order at our list price is there already is a waiting list on QuNeo. The orders will be fulfilled in the order that they are received, so, there is no guarantee you'll be able to buy one by April if you haven't pre-ordered. Kickstarter backers are the first orders that will ship, then anyone who pre-ordered (dealers and distributors are also on the waiting list). That is to say, QuNeos will ship in March and April, but they may already be sold out until months later...

The step sequencer is self managed and time will be double-able. All of that stuff is handled by the software you are running. We will be releasing more and more information as we have it... Keep watching our site and the kickstarter page...

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

I am very excited about the QuNeo and looking forward to receiving mine in March/April (I'm a kickstarter supporter, maybe the only one from Turkey). I have a question: Will QuNeo come with a dedicated set of M4L devices for Ableton Live? If yes, will some of those devices receive OSC? Or, will they be unlocked for customization?

I use Ableton Live to design instruments that I use to play free improvisation. So far my controllers have been a wiimote/nunchuck set, an iPad and a Launchpad. I think QuNeo will give me the physicality that is lacking on the iPad - a controller that you can push and it pushes back. I imagine myself doing the following with QuNeo:

- Assign a pad to a granular sample player with X axis moving sample position, Y axis morphing between two granular snapshots, pad activation starting playback and pressure controlling loop length, an FX send or some other parameter. The iPad, running the Lemur interface, will probably do surround panning (which I can also do using another QuNeo pad, of course). Launchpad will trigger some backing samples/textures or may run in monome mode.

- Assign four granular/spectral players to one pad, with each corner triggering one player and using X/Y and pressure to modify parameters. As far as I know, QuNeo will be the only controller that lets you do this with one finger.

- I am sure I will find good uses for the sliders/buttons. I will not waste them with volume control, that I know (the iPad can do that)

Best,
Korhan

Any updates on this thing? They were coming fast & furious for a while there, but seem to have died out.
